69th Miss Universe pageant final date revealed


The Miss Universe Organization (MUO) has finally confirmed in an email to its franchise directors that the 69th Miss Universe pageant will be held in the USA on May 16.

Further details of the upcoming competition including the exact host city and final venue are yet to be announced.

MUO anticipates observing the same strict procedures that were established and followed at the Miss USA pageant last November in Memphis.

They also revealed the plan to host the 70th edition (Miss Universe 2021) later this year “most likely in a non-USA destination” once negotiations are finalized.

The usual deadline requirement for the licensed holders to hold a national competition by August 30 will be waived. They will have until October 31 to produce their shows.

“We hope this decision will bring some relief to you and encourage more participation,” says the organization.

Miss Southern Plains, Diane Westhoven was crowned Miss Alabama USA 2024 during the state final on Saturday, June 1 at Auburn University's Jay and Susie Gogue Performing Arts Center. The 21-year-old student from Birmingham will now prepare to represent Alabama at Miss USA 2024 this summer in Hollywood, California. Miss Slovenia 2024 is Amadea Zupan from Sežana

Amadea Zupan was crowned Miss Slovenia 2024 (Miss World Slovenia) in a national competition held on Friday, January 10 in Lendava. The 26-year-old medical student at the University of Ljubljana beat 12 other contestants to win the title. She received the crown from her predecessor Alida Tomanič. Katja Zver was named first runner-up while Neja Prosenjak finished as second runner-up and also bagged the Miss Personality award. Angélique Angarni-Filopon from Martinique beat 29 other contestants to win Miss France 2025 on Saturday, December 14 at the Futuroscope Arena in Vienne, Nouvelle-Aquitaine. The 34-year-old flight attendant became the oldest winner of the prestigious national pageant. She also made history as the first woman from Martinique to become Miss France. China officially crowned two national queens for Miss Universe in one year. Two separate national events were held this year. Xinying Zhu from Anhui province was recently crowned Miss Universe China following an intense one-week competition in Zhangjiajie. The 18-year-old vocational student majoring to become a flight attendant at Suzhou Aviation Vocational College is expected to represent China at Miss Universe 2026. She was crowned by her predecessor, Xue Hou, who won the national title in Sanya last July. Xue will head to the Miss Universe 2025 pageant.
