Miss Polonia 2020 is Natalia Gryglewska of Częstochowa


A dietetics graduate and model from Częstochowa, Natalia Gryglewska, was crowned Miss Polonia 2020 in a glittering competition held on Monday, March 8 at the Grand Theatre in Łódź.

The 22-year-old beauty who is currently pursuing a master's studies in Warsaw succeeded Miss Polonia 2019 Karolina Bielawska and will now prepare to represent Poland at the 70th Miss World pageant to be held later this year.

Klaudia Wonatowska and Faustyna Wespińska were the first and second runners-up, respectively. Around 20 candidates battled it out for the national crown worth over PLN 50,000.

Miss Polonia is one of the older national pageant in Poland with the first edition held in 1929. Past winners include Ewa Wachowicz, Rozalia Mancewicz, Marcelina Zawadzka, Paulina Krupińska, Izabella Krzan, Agata Biernat and Milena Sadowska.

Poland has won the Miss World crown once courtesy of Aneta Kręglicka in 1989. Its last highest placement was Top 5 in 2004 with Katarzyna Borowicz.

Angélique Angarni-Filopon from Martinique beat 29 other contestants to win Miss France 2025 on Saturday, December 14 at the Futuroscope Arena in Vienne, Nouvelle-Aquitaine. The 34-year-old flight attendant became the oldest winner of the prestigious national pageant. She also made history as the first woman from Martinique to become Miss France. Sabah Aïb of Nord-Pas-de-Calais was named first runner-up while Stella Vangioni of Corsica, Moïra André of Guadeloupe, and Lilou Emeline-Artuso of Côte d'Azur were the second, third, and fourth runners-up, respectively. Plus-sized beauty Sara Milliken was crowned the National American Miss Alabama 2024 during the state final held on May 27 at the Renaissance Marriot in Montgomery. The semifinal round of Miss Polski 2024 (Miss Poland 2024) took place on Friday, April 26 at Hotel Kolumna Park in Przygoń. From 59 semifinalists, only 32 beauties (two from each region) have been selected to move on to the final competition to be held this July. The next Miss Polski, to be crowned by last year's titleholder  Angelika Jurkowianiec , is expected to represent Poland at Miss Universe 2024 and/or Miss Supranational 2025.
