Ireland's Kate Schneider takes over Mrs World 2020 title


Mrs Ireland World Kate Schneider has been named the new Mrs World 2020. She was the first runner-up at the last edition of the international pageant for married women.

The original titleholder Caroline Jurie resigned following a controversial on-stage drama in the Mrs Sri Lanka pageant earlier this month where she snatched the crown of the winner Pushpika De Silva because of false allegations. She was later arrested for the incident but released on bail.

Mrs World organization took to social media to announce the new titleholder on Tuesday, April 20 and revealed that Caroline's voluntary resignation was solely her decision.

The new Mrs World, who advocates health, wellness, and nutrition, also shared a statement on the official Mrs World page following her designation as the new titleholder.

"I want to give my sincerest thank you to everyone for being so incredibly welcoming as I take on this once-in-a-lifetime journey! I vow to make every single day count, take on each opportunity with gratitude, and leave a lasting legacy as your Mrs World! I hope to make you all very proud," she said.

Miss Global 2025 is Nguyen Dinh Nhu Van of Vietnam

Nguyen Dinh Nhu Van from Vietnam was crowned Miss Global 2025 on Sunday, March 9 at the MCC Hall, The Mall Lifestore Ngamwongwan in Nonthaburi, Thailand. The 33-year-old model hailing from Lam Dong province bested over 60 other contestants to become the first Vietnamese representative to win the international beauty title. Miss Southern Plains, Diane Westhoven was crowned Miss Alabama USA 2024 during the state final on Saturday, June 1 at Auburn University's Jay and Susie Gogue Performing Arts Center. The 21-year-old student from Birmingham will now prepare to represent Alabama at Miss USA 2024 this summer in Hollywood, California. Agathe Cauet to represent France at the 72nd Miss World

Former Miss Nord-Pas-de-Calais and Miss France 2023 first runner-up Agathe Cauet was announced on Monday, March 10 as Miss World France 2025. The 26-year-old former nurse was first runner-up to Miss France 2023 Indira Ampiot of Guadeloupe at the national pageant in Châteauroux.
