Phonvilai Luanglath replaces Phongsavanh Souphavady as Miss World Laos 2021


Phonvilai Luanglath, 24, has been officially named Miss World Laos 2021 after the original winner, Phongsavanh Souphavady, stepped down as titleholder due to an age limit issue.

Miss World Organization requires the contestants must be between 17 to 26 years old before the entry date of the international pageant.

“I apologize to the organizers and the audience who always believed in the competition. Many thanks to my parents, relatives, and all strangers who have always supported me," Phongsavanh said when she announced her resignation.

The new Miss World Laos finished as the first runner-up during the national competition held at the Landmark Mekong Riverside Hotel in Vientiane last Wednesday, March 31.

Phonvilai will now prepare to represent Laos at the Miss World 2021 pageant to be held at the Coca-Cola Music Hall in San Juan, Puerto Rico later this year.

Vanessa Pulgarin from Colombia was proclaimed the winner MGI All Stars 2026 on Saturday, May 30 at MGI Hall in Bangkok, Thailand. The 34-year-old model bested over 50 other contestants to win the first edition of the pageant. She is expected to return for the second edition to defend her title. Miss Universe Croatia 2026 is Antea Mršić from Zagreb

Antea Mršić edged out 14 other contestants to win Miss Universe Croatia 2026 on Monday, May 25 at Esplanade Hotel in Zagreb. The 24-year-old sports management graduate from Zagreb will now prepare to represent Croatia at the Miss Universe 2026 pageant in Puerto Rico this November. Monika Vojvodić was named first runner-up while Laura Vujica, Magdalena Fofić and Beata Šimat were the second, third and fourth runners-up, respectively. Chotnapa Kaewjarun was crowned Miss Thailand 2025 on Sunday, May 25 at MCC Hall, The Mall Ngamwongwan in Nonthaburi. The 25-year-old model representing Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya bested over 40 other contestants to win the beauty title. She succeeds last year's winner Panida Kernjinda of Chiang Mai.
