Miss Universe Philippines 2021 is Beatrice Luigi Gomez of Cebu City


Beatrice Luigi Gomez, representing Cebu City, bested 27 other beauties to be crowned Miss Universe Philippines 2021 in a national competition held on Thursday, September 30 at the Henann Resort Convention Center at Alona Beach in Panglao, Bohol.

The 26-year-old model and athlete succeeds last year's winner, Rabiya Mateo. She will now prepare to represent the Philippines at the 70th Miss Universe pageant in Eilat, Israel this December.

Katrina Dimaranan of Taguig City was named Miss Universe Philippines - Tourism and Victoria Velasquez Vincent clinched the Miss Universe Philippines - Charity title.

Pangasinan's Maureen Christa Wroblewitz and Cebu Province's Steffi Rose Aberasturi were the first and second runners-up, respectively.

Miss Southern Plains, Diane Westhoven was crowned Miss Alabama USA 2024 during the state final on Saturday, June 1 at Auburn University's Jay and Susie Gogue Performing Arts Center. The 21-year-old student from Birmingham will now prepare to represent Alabama at Miss USA 2024 this summer in Hollywood, California. Amadea Zupan was crowned Miss Slovenia 2024 (Miss World Slovenia) in a national competition held on Friday, January 10 in Lendava. The 26-year-old medical student at the University of Ljubljana beat 12 other contestants to win the title. She received the crown from her predecessor Alida Tomanič. Katja Zver was named first runner-up while Neja Prosenjak finished as second runner-up and also bagged the Miss Personality award. Angélique Angarni-Filopon from Martinique beat 29 other contestants to win Miss France 2025 on Saturday, December 14 at the Futuroscope Arena in Vienne, Nouvelle-Aquitaine. The 34-year-old flight attendant became the oldest winner of the prestigious national pageant. She also made history as the first woman from Martinique to become Miss France. The 23-year-old qualified beach lifeguard from Newquay, Cornwall bested 39 other contestants to win the national title. The 51 state representatives have already been crowned and they will compete for the national title on January 14 at the Walt Disney Theater (Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts) in Orlando, Florida. China officially crowned two national queens for Miss Universe in one year. Two separate national events were held this year. Xinying Zhu from Anhui province was recently crowned Miss Universe China following an intense one-week competition in Zhangjiajie. The 18-year-old vocational student majoring to become a flight attendant at Suzhou Aviation Vocational College is expected to represent China at Miss Universe 2026. She was crowned by her predecessor, Xue Hou, who won the national title in Sanya last July. Xue will head to the Miss Universe 2025 pageant.
