70th Miss Universe: Contestants depart for Israel to conquer the Universe


In a few hours, over 70 beauties from across the world will arrive in Israel to compete for the coveted title of Miss Universe.

Despite the current situation with the pandemic, the contestants are filled with excitement and positive energy to represent their countries on the prestigious global stage.

Pre-arrival favorites are Paraguay, India, Venezuela, Puerto Rico, Thailand, Philippines, Colombia, South Africa, Argentina, France, Spain, Mexico, Vietnam, and Chile.

The 70th Miss Universe (Miss Universe 2021) pageant will be held on Sunday, December 12 in the southern Israeli port and resort town, Eilat. It will air live on Fox, Telemundo, and different channels worldwide.

American television presenter Steve Harvey will return as host and Israeli singer Noa Kirel will be the special guest performer.

Mexico's Andrea Meza will crown her successor at the end of the event.

Cuba's Juan Carlos Ariosa wins 8th Mister Global competition

Mister Global Cuba Juan Carlos Ariosa beat 38 other competitors to win Mister Global 2022 held on Saturday, February 11 at the Royal Park Rajapruek in Chiang Mai, Thailand. The 28-year-old actor, model, and dental surgeon originally from Matanzas, Cuba succeeded Danh Chieu Linh of Vietnam for the coveted international title. He also bagged the Mister Photogenic award. Oscar Guerrero of Colombia and William Gama of Brazil were named the first and second runners-up, respectively, while Kim Hee Won of Korea and Setthapan Thongsuk of Thailand rounded out the Top 5 finalists. Miss Earth 2022 beauties went to Zamboanga City, swimsuit competition pushed through despite heavy rain

For the first time, all of the Miss Earth competitors were flown out to Zamboanga City, the "City of Flowers" in the Mindanao region of the Philippines as part of their eco-tours and the much-awaited swimsuit competition. Together with reigning Miss Earth Destiny Wagner and Miss Earth 2019 Nellys Pimentel, over 80 beauties visited the city’s historic, eco-tourism, and cultural sites, including the 115-year-old city hall and the Grande Santa Cruz Island, a small inhabited island in the southern region known for its pink coralline sand, where they planted mangroves. Supported by the city government headed by Mayor John Dalipe, the necessary preparation for the security and safety of the contestants was put in place. Athenna Crosby of California bested over 40 other contestants to win the Miss World America 2024 pageant on Sunday, November 17 in Seattle, Washington. The 26-year-old American-Venezuelan model and actress succeeds last year's winner Victoria DiSorbo and will now prepare to represent the United States of America at the 72nd Miss World. Kimberly Nwankolo of Oregon was named first runner-up while Anne Li of the District of Columbia, Aishwarya Kumar of Central Washington, and Heather Alexia Santos of Washington were the second, third, and fourth runners-up, respectively. Melissa Bottema was proclaimed the winner of Miss Netherlands 2026 (Miss Universe Netherlands) on Saturday, June 27 at Studio 21 in Hilversum. Rina Andrea Delos Santos of Ballesteros, Cagayan was crowned Miss Philippines Earth 2026 on Saturday, June 27 at the Cultural Center of Malitbog, Bukidnon. The 27-year-old medical technology graduate edged out over 30 other contestants to win the national pageant. She will represent the Philippines at Miss Earth 2026 later this year. Kamilla Kiss, 25, was crowned Miss Universe Hungary 2026 on Friday, June 19 at Kálmán Imre Theater in Budapest. She beat 11 other contestants to win the national competition and will now prepare to represent Hungary at the Miss Universe 2026 pageant in Puerto Rico this November.
