Miss Universe 2025: Meet the contestants

Miss Universe 2025, the 74th Miss Universe competition is set to take place on Friday, November 21 at the Impact Arena in Bangkok, Thailand. Reigning Miss Universe Victoria Kjær Theilvig from Denmark will hand over her crown to her successor at the conclusion of the event. This year's much-talked-about edition marked Thailand's fourth time hosting the prestigious beauty pageant after 1992, 2005, and 2018. Following the withdrawal of several countries including Cameroon, Germany, Iceland, Kenya, Mongolia, and Montenegro, 122 contestants from various countries and territories are left competing for the coveted international beauty title. The competition has welcomed the debuts of Miss Universe Latina, Cape Verde, Mayotte, Palestine, and Rwanda as well as the return of Ghana, Haiti, Iraq, Kosovo, Panama, Slovenia, South Africa and Sweden. Miss Universe Venezuela 2024 is Stephany Abasali

Miss Venezuela 2024, the 71st Miss Venezuela pageant, was held on Thursday, December 5 at Espacio Caracas. Stephany Abasali, a 24-year-old economics student representing Anzoátegui, bested 22 other contestants to be crowned Miss Universe Venezuela 2024. Karín Aridi of Amazonas was named first runner-up while Vanessa Pérez of Distrito Capital, Sarilé González of Miranda, and Vanessa Peroza of Nueva Esparta were the second, third, and fourth runners-up, respectively. Completing the Top 10 finalists were the representatives of Falcón, Fabianna Buysse, Sucre, Marian Villegas, Táchira, Laleska Mora, Yaracuy, Oriana López, and Zulia, María Peinado Ileana Márquez, last year's winner who made the Top 5 at the recently held Miss Universe 2024 competition in Mexico, crowned her successor at the end of the event. Miss Universe Peru 2025 is Karla Bacigalupo

Karla Bacigalupo was crowned Miss Peru 2025 (Miss Universe Peru 2025) in a national competition held last Sunday, June 15 in the historic city of Cusco. The 33-year-old actress and producer will now prepare to represent Peru at Miss Universe 2025 to be held in Thailand this November. Former Reina Hispanoamerican Maricielo Gamarra was announced as first runner-up while former Top Model of the World Janet Leyva finished as the second runner-up. Last year's winner Tatiana Calmell crowned her successor at the end of the event. She placed in the Top 12 at Miss Universe 2024 and was awarded the continental title of Miss Universe Americas. Miss Universe Portugal 2025 is Camila Vitorino

Former Miss Queen of Portugal Camila Vitorino was crowned Miss Universe Portugal 2025 last Saturday, June 14 in the beautiful and historic city of Elvas. The 26-year-old from São Sebastião, Setúbal made history as the first married woman and mother to become Miss Universe Portugal. Laura Malaquias, Diliana Fernandes, and Ivone Carneiro were announced as the first, second, and third runners-up, respectively. Last year's winner Andreia Correia passed on her crown to her successor at the end of the event. "It is with great honor that I carry this sash on my chest representing all women, all mothers and the Portuguese people. Miss Turkey 2024: Idil Bilgen wins Miss Turkey World 2024

Idil Bilgen was crowned Miss Turkey World 2024 during the Miss Turkey 2024 national final on Wednesday, September 11 at the Lazzoni Hotel in Istanbul. The 24-year-old medical doctor bested 19 other competitors to win the national title. She will prepare to represent Türkiye at the 72nd Miss World whose date and venue have yet to be announced. Cemre Üker clinched the Miss Turkey Supranational 2024 crown and will head to Poland to compete in Miss Supranational 2025 next summer. Aylin Molla, Melissa Öykü Yorulmaz, Candan Şeviktürk rounded out the Top 5 finalists. Inna Moll, representing Vitacura, was crowned Miss Universe Chile 2025 in a national competitipn held on Friday, August 1 in Santiago. The 28-year-old model and influencer will now prepare to represent Chile at the Miss Universe 2025 pageant in Thailand this November. Martina Kriskovich of Huechuraba was named first runner-up while María Jesús Honorato of Las Condes, Scarlett Hermosilla of Lo Barnechea, and Paula Jiménez of Providencia were the second, third, and fourth runners-up, respectively. Miss Universe Côte d'Ivoire 2025 Olivia Yacé has officially announced on Monday, November 24 her resignation as Miss Universe Africa and Oceania. "As the representative of Côte d'Ivoire at the Miss Universe 2025 competition in Bangkok, i witnessed firsthand that i was capable of accomplishing great things despite adversity," Olivia wrote on social media. "But to continue on this path, i must remain true to my values: respect, dignity, excellence, and equal opportunity the strongest pillars that guide me," she continued. Miss Universe Costa Rica 2024 is Elena Hidalgo

Elena Hidalgo was crowned Miss Universe Costa Rica 2024 on Tuesday, September 10 at the Centro Internacional de Convenciones ANDE (CIC ANDE) in San Antonio. The 32-year-old professional model from San José beat 12 other contestants to win the national title. She made history as the first mother to become Miss Universe Costa Rica. María Alejandra Acosta and Chonta Mullins were named the first and second runners-up, respectively, while Nicole Carboni and Kelly Avila rounded out the Top 5 finalists. Giulia Zanoni, representing La Unión, was crowned Miss Universe El Salvador 2025 on Friday, September 26 at Palacio Tecleño in Santa Tecla. The 20-year-old international relations student succeeds last year's winner Florence Gisselle Garcia and will represent El Salvador at Miss Universe 2025 in Thailand this November. Alva Echegoyen of La Paz finished first runner-up and was crowned Miss International El Salvador 2025. She will head to Japan, also this November, for Miss International 2025. Alba Rivera of San Miguel, Karen Segura of Santa Ana, and Gloria Sandoval of Usulután were named the second, third, and fourth runners-up, respectively.
