Miss Universe Ghana 2022 is Engracia Afua Kaley Mofuman


Engracia Afua Kaley Mofuman bested 15 other finalists to be crowned Miss Universe Ghana 2022 in a national competition held on Tuesday, December 21.

The 27-year-old professional model representing the Ashanti Region succeeds Naa Morkor Commodore and will represent her country at the 71st Miss Universe (Miss Universe 2022) pageant expected to be held next year.

Miss Ahafo, Dorothy Ndede Kojo, and Miss Eastern, Magalie Ama Kabangele, were the first and second runners-up, respectively.

The new Miss Universe Ghana is no stranger to pageantry. In 2018, she held the title Miss Intercontinental Ghana and went on to compete at Miss Intercontinental 2018 pageant held in the Philippines where she placed in the Top 20.

Plus-sized beauty Sara Milliken was crowned the National American Miss Alabama 2024 during the state final held on May 27 at the Renaissance Marriot in Montgomery. The 23-year-old model and mental health advocate from Atmore, Alabama is now expected to represent her home state at the National American Miss 2024 competition later this year. Amadea Zupan was crowned Miss Slovenia 2024 (Miss World Slovenia) in a national competition held on Friday, January 10 in Lendava. The 26-year-old medical student at the University of Ljubljana beat 12 other contestants to win the title. She received the crown from her predecessor Alida Tomanič. Katja Zver was named first runner-up while Neja Prosenjak finished as second runner-up and also bagged the Miss Personality award. The 34-year-old flight attendant became the oldest winner of the prestigious national pageant. She also made history as the first woman from Martinique to become Miss France. Samuel Nwajagu of Nigeria was proclaimed the grand winner of the Mister International 2024 pageant on Saturday, December 14 in Bangkok, Thailand. Aside from the international title, the 23-year-old model also bagged the Best in Swimsuit award. He succeeds last year's winner from Thailand, Kim Goodburn. Singaporean lawyer Madeleine Poh was crowned Mrs. Petite Global 2025 in an international pageant held on January 9 at Shantanand Auditorium in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
