Vietnam's Nguyen Thuc Thuy Tien wins Miss Grand International 2021
The 23-year-old hospitality management student succeeds Abena of the United States of America. She's the first-ever Vietnamese woman to win the Miss Grand International beauty title.
Ecuador's Andrea Victoria Aguilera finished first runner-up while Brazil's Lorena Goncalves Rodrigues was named the second runner-up. Vivianie Diaz Arroyo of Puerto Rico and Jeane Van Dam of South Africa were the third and fourth runners-up, respectively.
The rest of the Top 10 finalists are from Cambodia, Pokimtheng Sothida (Miss Popular Vote), Costa Rica, Adriana Moya Alvarado, Indonesia, Sophia Louise Rogan, Spain, Alba Dunkerbeck Morales, and Venezuela, Vanessa Carolina Coello Coraspe.
Completing the Top 20 semi-finalists are from Angola, Marcia Marilia Menezes, Australia, Angolina Amores, Colombia, Mariana Jaramillo Cordoba, Dominican Republic, Stephanie Mercedes Medina, France, Elodie Sirulnick, Germany, Luisa Victoria Malz, India, Manika Sheokand, Malaysia, Lishalliny Kanaran, Myanmar, Win Lei Lei Naing, Netherlands, Nathalie Yasmin Mogbelzada, and Nigeria, Patience Idowochenema Christopher.
Thailand and Puerto Rico were respectively awarded Best in Evening Gown and Best in Swimsuit while the representatives from Malaysia, Peru, and Angola received the Best in National Costume award.
During the live broadcast of the glittering competition, Indonesia was officially announced as the host country for the pageant's 10th year anniversary. Miss Grand International 2022 will take place in the beautiful city of Jakarta next October.
The new Miss Grand International will stay in Thailand for the duration of her reign while promoting the pageant's advocacy which is "Stop the War and Violence."
