Miss World 2021 Top 40: Argentina, Bahamas, Botswana, Brazil, Cameroon, Canada, Chile, China
The Miss World 2021 Top 40 will return to Puerto Rico to compete for the 70th Miss World final at the José Miguel Agrelot Coliseum in San Juan on March 16.
Meet the semi-finalists from Argentina, Bahamas, Botswana, Brazil, Cameroon, Canada, Chile, and China:
ARGENTINA - Amira Hidalgo - After receiving a scholarship to University to study for a master's in Investigative Journalism, Amira also works as a Journalist and News Producer. She holds the position of TV host for a National News Broadcaster. Her dream job would be to be a war correspondent. She plays the violin and enjoys running in her spare time.
Amira’s Beauty with a Purpose project “Arte para Ciegos” (Art for the blind) provides the visually impaired with tools to help them develop independence and greater accessibility. This included installing haptic plans with braille writing in places of interest including Palermo, Retiro, Modern Art Museum, and Puerto Madero. Since 2017, Amira has been working with the Nínawa Daher Foundation to work on different inclusion social projects.

BAHAMAS - Sienna Evans - After completing her Degree in Neuroscience and Human Behaviour, Sienna currently owns and runs a network of Laboratories and has launched Space Safe, an Al-driven platform through which people can access mental health services from their homes.
She has ambitions to go to Medical School and become a Neurosurgeon and also to establish a Mental Health Retreat in the Bahamas. Sienna’s Beauty with a Purpose project “Access Granted” offers free Covid testing through her clinics and provides a platform through which people can access mental health counseling.

BOTSWANA - Palesa Molefe - Palesa is currently working as an Actress, Writer, and Producer, and is the founder of Botswana United Artists, an NGO founded to illuminate the value of artists and mental health in society. Her proudest moment was when the agency was finally registered as an NGO. Palesa has a fear of not trying hard enough. ‘The Notebook’ is her favorite film by Jan Sardi and her favorite online blog is ‘DIY Hacks.’Palesa’s Beauty with a Purpose project titled “lo ojwa lo sa le metsi” a Setswana phrase that means you develop them while young, is centered around Mental Health. The project focuses on Mental Health in children to ensure the children achieve better in life because of the lessons they are taught at a young age.

BRAZIL - Caroline Teixiera - After studying for a Law Degree, Caroline has continued her training by working in the Public Prosecutor’s Office with the aim of becoming a Public Prosecutor. She also works as a Model and is an avid Basketball player.
‘The Pursuit of Happyness’ is Caroline’s favorite film and ‘The Power of Your Subconscious Mind’ her favorite book. Caroline’s Beauty with a Purpose project “Don’t Forget Hansen’s Disease” joined a worldwide campaign to raise awareness for this illness. Caroline appeared on the three largest national TV channels to promote her campaign and help eliminate the ignorance that surrounds Hansen’s Disease. She now plans to help with the development of a Hansen’s Disease vaccine.

CAMEROON - Audrey Monkam - Audrey has a Degree in Banking and Finance and is currently working as a Model. She would one day like to own her own cosmetic or clothing line. Her favorite movie is ‘The Sound of Music’ and her favorite feel-good song is ‘Happy’ by Pharrell Williams. Audrey also enjoys singing, dancing, and traveling and is an avid cook.
Audrey’s Beauty with a Purpose project “Portable Water For All” had the goal to regain access to water in her own community after growing up with an inconsistent water supply. Audrey also worked to install water boreholes in underprivileged communities within the country, with a goal of completing boreholes in each of the 10 regions of Cameroon.

CANADA - Svetlana Mamaeva - After graduating with a Degree in Business and Finance, Svetlana is currently working as an Analyst for a Real Estate Company and has ambitions to one day be a University Professor. Since being crowned, Svetlana has offered over 50 free financial workshops for women. Her favorite book is ‘An Astronaut’s Guide to Life on Earth.’ by Canadian Astronaut, Chris Hadfield.
Svetlana’s Beauty with a Purpose project “FinPowered” is a free financial education program aimed to help women navigate through the current crisis through financial education. Svetlana has hosted over 85 free financial workshops at schools, educational centers, and women’s shelters across Canada and in her native country, Moldova.

CHILE - Carol Drpic - Carol is currently in her fourth year of her Physiotherapy Degree and would like to specialize in Gerontology, the care of older people. A classically trained ballet dancer and a basketball player, Carol also has a passion for classical music. Since her crowning, Carol has played an active role in fundraising and supporting many charities and organizations in her community.
Carol’s Beauty with a Purpose project “Generations United” seeks to generate a recreational exchange between different generations. The project is supported by the Government of Patagonia and Chilean Antarctica. Carol holds regular fundraising campaigns with the funds going to donations for vulnerable people. Donations include food, clothes, and toys.

CHINA - Jiang Siqi - After graduating in Computer Science and Technology, Jiang is currently working as an Entrepreneur of a new Media and Culture company and as a Model. She enjoys traveling, photography and diving. Her favorite book is ‘The Great Gatsby’ and she enjoys listening to Jazz music and being involved in Chinese dance.
Jiang’s Beauty with a Purpose project “Intangible Cultural Heritage Protection” promotes the importance of culture in creative ways such as posting videos on new media platforms. Jiang also visited schools to educate and popularize culture.
