70th Miss World: Top 40 semi-finalists arrive back in Puerto Rico for the final competition


The 70th Miss World Top 40 semi-finalists have arrived back in San Juan, Puerto Rico for the final competition this Wednesday, March 16 at Coca-Cola Music Hall.

After more than 2 years and the unfortunate cancellation of the event last December, Toni-Ann Singh of Jamaica, the longest-reigning Miss World in history will finally crown her successor.

The highly-anticipated event will feature a musical performance by the Puerto Rico Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Miss World Musical Director Angel Velez, and a special tribute to the organization’s mission and legacy over the course of its tenured history will be made by Miss World 1975, Wilnelia Merced Forsyth

TV personality Peter Andre and one of Latin America’s top actors and singers, Fernando Allende will serve as hosts.

Plus-sized beauty Sara Milliken was crowned the National American Miss Alabama 2024 during the state final held on May 27 at the Renaissance Marriot in Montgomery. The 23-year-old model and mental health advocate from Atmore, Alabama is now expected to represent her home state at the National American Miss 2024 competition later this year. Miss Slovenia 2024 is Amadea Zupan from Sežana

Amadea Zupan was crowned Miss Slovenia 2024 (Miss World Slovenia) in a national competition held on Friday, January 10 in Lendava. The 26-year-old medical student at the University of Ljubljana beat 12 other contestants to win the title. She received the crown from her predecessor Alida Tomanič. Katja Zver was named first runner-up while Neja Prosenjak finished as second runner-up and also bagged the Miss Personality award. Angélique Angarni-Filopon from Martinique beat 29 other contestants to win Miss France 2025 on Saturday, December 14 at the Futuroscope Arena in Vienne, Nouvelle-Aquitaine. The 34-year-old flight attendant became the oldest winner of the prestigious national pageant. She also made history as the first woman from Martinique to become Miss France. Samuel Nwajagu of Nigeria was proclaimed the grand winner of the Mister International 2024 pageant on Saturday, December 14 in Bangkok, Thailand. Aside from the international title, the 23-year-old model also bagged the Best in Swimsuit award. He succeeds last year's winner from Thailand, Kim Goodburn.
