Miss Makati Michelle Dee bags 6 special awards at Miss Universe Philippines 2022 prelims


Daughter of former Miss International Melanie Marquez, Michelle Dee bagged 6 special awards in the recently held Miss Universe Philippines 2022 preliminary competition at The Cove Manila.

The 27-year-old beauty representing Makati City took home the Miss Kumuniverse, Miss Cream Silk, Face of Essentials by Belo, Miss Jojo Bragais, Miss SavePoint, and Miss The Medical City special awards from the major sponsors.

Michelle is an independent candidate (no pageant camp affiliation) and is currently one of the front-runners in the upcoming Miss Universe Philippines 2022 final. No stranger to pageantry, she was a former Miss World Philippines titleholder and placed in the Top 12 at Miss World 2019.

If ever she wins the competition on Saturday, April 30 at the Mall of Asia Arena, she will be the second woman to have achieved both the Miss World Philippines and Miss Universe Philippines titles next to Catriona Gray.

Miss Fairfield USA Jenna Hofmann was crowned Miss Connecticut USA 2025 on Sunday, January 26 at the Marriott Hartford Windsor Airport in Windsor, Connecticut. The 23-year-old real estate professional, originally from New York, will now prepare to represent Connecticut at the Miss USA 2025 pageant. She succeeds last year's winner Shavana Clarke. The Miss America 2025 final competition will be held this Sunday, January 5 at The Walt Disney Theater of the Dr. Phillips Center for Performing Arts in Orlando, Florida. The highly anticipated official presentation of the 24 contestants vying for Miss Venezuela 2022 took place on Saturday, November 10 in Caracas. Miss Grand Philippines Roberta Tamondong has been officially announced by the MGI organization as the new Miss Grand International 2022 fifth runner-up. Makaʻala Perry to represent Hawaii at Miss International 2023

Makaʻala Perry is the newly appointed Miss International Hawaii 2023 and will represent the Aloha State at Miss International 2023 in Japan this October. The 24-year-old flight attendant, business owner, and musician was announced as Priscilla Wang's successor for the national title last month. Besides working for Hawaiian Airlines and running her own business called Sunbeams Creamery, a dessert shop located in Wahiawa, she is also pursuing her bachelor of arts degree in music at the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa.
