Miss Universe Organization announces new tagline 'Beautifully Confident'

"Beautifully Confident" has been officially announced by the Miss Universe Organization as the new tagline for its highly coveted international pageant.

"We are excited to share the evolution of our tagline with you. In its origin, Miss Universe existed to identify the most confidently beautiful women. Our organization has a legacy of championing strong females and our evolution speaks to that rich heritage. Now, as the organization continues to grow, we know that beauty is about who we are and how we show up, Beautifully Confident," the organization said in its statement signed by CEO Amy Emmerich and President Paula Shugart.

"The Miss Universe Global Ambassador is always insightful, innovative, audacious and powered by her beliefs while still committed to respecting the rights, differences, and dignity of others. Our ambassadors build strong societal foundations across the globe that foster a sense of belonging," the statement continued.

"We are honored to go on this journey with you and the Miss Universe team, advocating for a future forged by women," their last words in the statement.

The Miss Universe organization previously used "Confidently Beautiful" as its official tagline.

Based in New York City, USA, and presently owned by WME and IMG, the competition was first established in 1952 with Armi Kuusela from Finland as its first winner.
