Miss Universe Vietnam 2022 is Nguyen Thi Ngoc Chau


Nguyen Thi Ngoc Chau bested 40 other contestants to win Miss Universe Vietnam 2022 on Saturday, June 25 at Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center in Ho Chi Minh City.

Le Thao Nhi and Huynh Pham Thuy Tien were the first and second runners-up, respectively, while Le Hoang Phuong and Nguyen Thi Huong Ly completed the Top 5 finalists.

Reining Miss Universe Harnaaz Sandhu together with former queens Catriona Gray and Natalie Glebova graced the competition as international judges. Miss Universe Organization President Paula Shugart and CEO Amy Emmerich were also present to witness the glittering show.

The new Miss Universe Vietnam is a 28-year-old model from Tay Ninh. She was a winner of Vietnam's Next Top Model, crowned Miss Supranational Vietnam, and placed in the Top 10 at Miss Supranational 2019 in Poland where she earned the title of Miss Supranational Asia.


Ngoc Chau will now prepare to represent her country at the 71st Miss Universe pageant (Miss Universe 2022), possibly later this year. The date and venue for the competition are yet to be announced.

Despite being a pretty young national competition, Miss Universe Vietnam has cemented itself in the pageant circle as a force to reckon with when it comes to professionalism, dedication, determination, innovation, and world-class production.

The pageant also made history by becoming inclusive when it accepted its first-ever transgender contestant, Do Nhat Ha, who received an honorary golden ticket from the organizing committee.

Vietnam has yet to win Miss Universe but its first victory seems already not far behind. In 2018, the country captured its highest achievement at the prestigious international pageant with H'Hen Nie, who placed in the Top 5.

Nigeria's Samuel Nwajagu wins Mister International 2024

Samuel Nwajagu of Nigeria was proclaimed the grand winner of the Miss International 2024 pageant on Saturday, December 14 in Bangkok, Thailand. Aside from the international title, the 23-year-old model also bagged the Best in Swimsuit award. He succeeds last year's winner from Thailand, Kim Goodburn. Nguyen Man Lan of Vietnam and Glenn Victor Sutanto were announced as the first and second runners-up, respectively. Anthony Henricus of the Netherlands, Justine Carl Ong of the Philippines (fan vote winner), and Rafael Dominguez of Spain rounded out the Top 6 finalists. Puerto Rico's María Cepero crowned Miss Intercontinental 2024

María Cepero Jiménez of Puerto Rico was crowned Miss Intercontinental 2024 on Friday, December 6 in Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt. The 26-year-old law student beat over 50 other contestants to win her country's 5th Miss Intercontinental title. She succeeds last year's winner Chatnalin Chotjirawarachat from Thailand. Georgette Musrie of Venezuela was named first runner-up while Alyssa Redondo of the Philippines finished as the second runners-up. Miss Polski 2024: Meet the 32 finalists

The semifinal round of Miss Polski 2024 (Miss Poland 2024) took place on Friday, April 26 at Hotel Kolumna Park in Przygoń. From 59 semifinalists, only 32 beauties (two from each region) have been selected to move on to the final competition to be held this July. Miss Nederland 2024 is Amber Rustenberg from Amsterdam

Amber Rustenberg was crowned Miss Nederland 2024 (Miss Netherlands 2024) in a national competition held on Sunday, June 16 at Studio 21 in Hilversum. The 23-year-old entrepreneur from Amsterdam edged out nine other finalists to win the national title. She succeeds Rikkie Valerie Kollé , last year's winner and the first-ever transgender woman to represent the Netherlands at Miss Universe. According to the distinguished panel of judges, they chose the new Miss Nederland because she is "eloquent, authentic, intelligent, confident, positive in life, and has a warm personality which she radiates on stage." Rikkie Valerie Kollé was crowned Miss Nederland 2023 (Miss Universe Netherlands 2023) on Saturday, July 8 at the AFAS Theater in Leusden. The 22-year-old Dutch-Moluccan model and actress living in Breda succeeds Ona Moody and will now prepare to represent the Netherlands at the 72nd Miss Universe (Miss Universe 2023) in El Salvador. Nathalie Mogbelzada, 26, from Amsterdam, was named first runner-up while Habiba Mostafa and Lou Dirchs were awarded Miss Congeniality and Miss Social Media, respectively. Stephany Abasali, a 24-year-old economics student representing Anzoátegui, bested 22 other contestants to be crowned Miss Universe Venezuela 2024. The Miss Universe Organization has officially announced Chelsea Manalo of the Philippines as the Best in National Costume winner at Miss Universe 2024. Completing the Top 3 finalists for the special award were Emilia Dides from Chile (second place) and Nguyen Cao Ky Duyen from Vietnam (third place). Chelsea's national costume "Hiraya" meaning "the fruit of one's hopes, dreams, and aspirations" was voted the ultimate winner among 125 costumes showcased on this year's Miss Universe stage. Created by Filipino fashion designer Manny Halasan, the winning costume was a homage to the Philippines' diverse history and culture.
