Miss International Haiti 2022 is Angélique François

Angélique François is the newly appointed Miss International Haiti 2022 and will represent her country at the 60th Miss International (Miss International 2022) in Japan later this year.

The Haitian-American professional model and medical assistant, 25, holds a degree in health science from Florida Atlantic University. She is the founder of the nonprofit organization Reach One to be Won Foundation.

Earlier this year, she held the title Reina del Cafe Haiti 2022 and went on to compete in Reinado Internacional del Café 2022 which was held in Colombia.

"The tallest tree says that it sees far, but the seed that travels says that it sees even further. When you explore the world, the world gives you more possibilities than staying where you are," she wrote on social media as a caption to the photos of her wearing the official Miss International Haiti sash.

"For many years the world want to keep Haiti in a world of grief, sorrow, and pain. We are an island of beauty, strength, love, and perseverance. As Miss International Haiti I will make sure you see the light we reflect in our beautiful waters," she added.

Haiti first joined Miss International in 2012 and at the same time achieved its highest placement (Top 15) in the Japan-based competition with Anedie Azael.
