Miss Universe Colombia 2022 María Fernanda Aristizábal officially crowned


Miss Universe Colombia 2022 María Fernanda Aristizábal has been officially crowned by last year's titleholder and Miss Universe Top 5 finalist Valeria Ayos.

The glittering coronation event was held on Saturday, July 23 at Catedral de Sal (Salt Cathedral) in the central Colombian city of Zipaquirá, in Cundinamarca.

María Fernanda was appointed as Miss Universe Colombia last April and the announcement took place at a press conference held at Hotel Dann Carlton Medellin.

The 25-year-old beauty from Quindío is now more than ever prepared to represent her country at the 71st Miss Universe (Miss Universe 2022) pageant, three years after winning Señorita Colombia and unfortunately lost her chance to compete in Miss Universe 2020.

"You always have to fight to achieve dreams, you never have to give up, you always have to inspire people to achieve what they have always wanted so much and I think that has been me, an example, because I have wanted to materialize that dream and here I am here, with this crown of Miss Universe Colombia and at any time, at God's time, I will go to represent my country in the best way. When at some point I thought I was not going to make it, here I am."

72nd Miss World final date and host country announced

The Miss World organization has officially announced the final date and host country of the 72nd Miss World competition. Miss Universe Brazil 2025 is Maria Gabriela Lacerda

Maria Gabriela Lacerda, representing the state of Piauí, was crowned Miss Universe Brazil 2025 on Thursday, February 13 in Alphaville, São Paulo. The 22-year-old journalist bested 23 other contestants to win the beauty title. She received her crown from Brazil's first Miss Universe winner, Miss Universe 1963 Ieda Maria Vargas. Aline Fritsch of Rio Grande do Sul and Ana Carolina Ceolin Comério of Espírito Santo were the first and second runners-up, respectively. "This crown is ours, my Piauí. Thailand has been officially announced as the host country for the Miss Universe 2025 competition. The Miss Universe Organization unveiled the ultimate destination for the 74th Miss Universe pageant at a press conference in New York City. Dia Maté of the Philippines was crowned Reina Hispanoamericana 2025 on Sunday, February 9 at the Salón Sirionó, Fexpocruz in Santa Cruz de la Sierra, Bolivia. Jázmin Viktória Elizabeth was crowned Miss Universe Hungary 2021 in a special event held at Gigi's Budapest on Saturday, November 6. The 20-year-old model and student from Budapest bested 13 other beauties to win her national title.
