Miss Iraq 2022 is Balsam Hussein


Balsam Hussein was crowned Miss Iraq 2022 in a glittering competition held last Thursday, July 28 in Erbil, the capital and most populated city in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq.

The 26-year-old TV presenter who was born and raised in Baghdad is expected to represent her country at the Miss World and Miss Universe pageants.

Sarah Saad and Jihan Majid were the first and second runners-up, respectively, while Hind Akram and Sarah Khaled completed the Top 5 finalists.

The Miss Iraq pageant was founded in 1947 but was suspended for over 40 years from 1973 until 2015 due to political and armed conflict in the country.

The newly crowned Miss Iraq wants to send a message to all Iraqi women to never give up in the pursuit of their dreams.

"Fight to get your goals and be patient. You have faced wars and difficulties, do not make the harsh conditions a rock in your path, destroy it and keep going until all your dreams are met."

Miss Grand Thailand 2025 is Sarunrat Puagpipat of Phuket

Sarunrat Puagpipat, representing Phuket, was crowned Miss Grand Thailand 2025 during the national final competition held on Saturday, March 29 at MGI Hall in Bangkok. The 28-year-old beauty bested 76 other contestants to win the title and the first back to back victory for her province. She succeeds last year's winner, also from Phuket, Malin Chara-anan. Chayathanus Saradatta of Khon Kaen was named first runner-up while Nartthinee Tanutaponpinyo of Lampang, Panichida Kongsawanya of Lamphun, and Kanaporn Phatthanphan of Krung Thep Maha Nakhon were the second, third and fourth runners-up, respectively. Bellezas Globales de Nicaragua 2025, four new queens crowned

Four new queens have been crowned at the culmination of the Bellezas Globales de Nicaragua 2025 pageant held on Sunday, March 23 at the Teatro Nacional Rubén Darío in Managua. A total of 24 beauties battled it out to win the opportunity to represent Nicaragua in the next Miss World, Miss International, Miss Supranational and Miss Cosmo competitions. Crowned Miss Mundo Nicaragua 2025 (Miss World Nicaragua) is Virmania Rodríguez who will head to Hyderabad, India this May to compete in the 72nd Miss World. Tarlac's Jasmine Omay appointed Universal Woman Philippines 2025

Jasmine Omay has been appointed as Universal Woman Philippines 2025 and was officially crowned in a special ceremony held on Tuesday, March 25 in Quezon City. The 27-year-old events host, model and pilot from Tarlac will represent the Philippines at the Universal Woman 2025 pageant in Jaipur, India this June. Ruth Thomas was crowned Miss Botswana 2025 (Miss World Bostwana) on Saturday, March 22 at The Grand Palm Hotel Casino Convention Resort in Gaborone. The 24-year-old clothing and textile design graduate from the village of Masunga bested nine other finalists to win the national title.
