Miss Ireland 2022 is Miss Munster, Ivanna McMahon
Miss Munster, Ivanna McMahon, bested 35 other contestants to be crowned Miss Ireland 2022 during the 75th-anniversary edition of the national pageant on Saturday, August 20 at the Royal Theatre in Castlebar.
The 27-year-old medicine graduate from Barefield, Ennis, Co. Clare is currently working in Tralee, Co. Kerry. She is a musician, enjoys the gym, walks on the beach, and loves to travel.
Miss Dublin Central Jasmine Gerhardt and Miss Dublin Katie O'Conner were named the first and second runners-up, respectively.
Last year's winner Pamela Uba crowned her successor at the end of the glittering event.
Ivanna will represent Ireland at the 71st Miss World pageant, whose date and venue are yet to be announced.
"I am so incredibly happy and grateful to have been crowned the 75th Miss Ireland last night," she wrote in a statement on social media the day after winning her title.
"I am so incredibly excited and looking forward to continuing this amazing experience at Miss World," she added.
Ireland has yet to win its second Miss World title next to Rosanna Davison, the first ever Irish representative to be crowned Miss World in 2003.
