Miss Teen Cayman Islands 2022 is Brianna Livingston


Brianna Livingston was crowned Miss Teen Cayman Islands 2022 on Saturday, August 20 at Lions Community Centre in George Town.

The 18-year-old anti-body shaming advocate from Bodden Town succeeds last year's winner Asaiah Thomas. She is the daughter of former Miss Teen Cayman Islands Donna Bush who won in 1984.

West Bay's Keanna Kelly, 16, and DeShae Cann, 15, were named the first and second runners-up, respectively. Lexi Gould and Janelle Wood were the rest of the five contestants.

This year's competition themed "Blooming with Grace" was the 41st edition of the Miss Teen Cayman Islands pageant. Prizes for the winner include a scholarship provided by the Ministry of Education, Youth, Sports, Agriculture and Lands.

The pageant promotes young ladies between 15 and 18 to become independent, more involved in the community, gain confidence, improve on public speaking, and provide a platform to become role models for Caymans youth.

"The weeks leading up to today have been so busy with rehearsals and events in preparation for our big night, this has been one of the best experiences in my life so far," the new Miss Teen Cayman Islands wrote in a statement on social media before winning her title.

"Today I celebrate my journey as I stand tall and confident on my platform of anti-body shaming, something that affects many teenagers in the Cayman Islands, especially teenage girls," she added.

Angélique Angarni-Filopon from Martinique beat 29 other contestants to win Miss France 2025 on Saturday, December 14 at the Futuroscope Arena in Vienne, Nouvelle-Aquitaine. The 34-year-old flight attendant became the oldest winner of the prestigious national pageant. She also made history as the first woman from Martinique to become Miss France. The semifinal round of Miss Polski 2024 (Miss Poland 2024) took place on Friday, April 26 at Hotel Kolumna Park in Przygoń. María Cepero Jiménez of Puerto Rico was crowned Miss Intercontinental 2024 on Friday, December 6 in Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt. The 26-year-old law student beat over 50 other contestants to win her country's 5th Miss Intercontinental title. She succeeds last year's winner Chatnalin Chotjirawarachat from Thailand.
