Former Miss Universe Iris Mittenaere announces engagement


Wedding bells are on the way for former Miss Universe Iris Mittenaere as she announced her engagement to entrepreneur Diego El Glaoui.

The French beauty took to social media on Saturday, August 27 to share the happy news, which has received a lot of congratulatory messages.

"It was on the shores of Lake Como that we said it would be forever," she wrote in French.

Iris was crowned Miss France 2016 and went on to win the Miss Universe pageant in the Philippines. She was the second representative from her country to win the title next to Christiane Martel who won in 1953.

Helena Hafþórsdóttir O'Connor was crowned Ungfrú Ísland 2025 (Miss Universe Iceland) on Thursday, April 3 at Gamla Bíó in Reykjavik. The 20-year-old beauty from Viðey bested 19 other contestants to win the national title. Plus-sized beauty Sara Milliken was crowned the National American Miss Alabama 2024 during the state final held on May 27 at the Renaissance Marriot in Montgomery. Reigning Miss Denmark Emma Heyst has been officially announced by the Miss Denmark Organization as Miss World Denmark 2025. The 22-year-old was crowned Miss Denmark 2024 in September last year in Copenhagen. She will now prepare to represent Denmark at Miss World 2025 in India this coming May. According to the national pageant organization, Emma is future sociology student, philanthropist, model and sports enthusiast who has been involved in humanitarian work for years. Inspired by her own mother, she is deeply committed to her work with the organization Lykkeliga, which provides an inclusive and safe community for children with developmental disabilities.
