Miss Universe El Salvador 2022 is Alejandra Guajardo
Alejandra Guajardo was crowned Miss Universe El Salvador 2022 during the Reinado de El Salvador 2022 final competition held last August 13 in Santa Tecla.
The 26-year-old, who represented the department of Cabañas, was born in the state of Quintana Roo, in the city of Cancún, Mexico to a Mexican mother and Salvadoran father. She will now prepare to represent El Salvador at Miss Universe 2022, possibly later this year.
Miss Intercontinental El Salvador 2022 Andrea Aguilar and Reina Hispanoamericana El Salvador 2022 Eugenia Ávalos were also named during the event. They will go to this year's Miss Intercontinetal in Egypt and Reina Hispanoamericana in Bolivia.
Debbie Morán, representative of Morazán, was awarded the title of Miss Turismo y Cultura El Salvador 2022.
A total of 14 contestants took part in this year's Reinado de El Salvador which was held at Fepade Auditorium. Miss Universe Guatemala 2022 Ivana Batchelor attended the glittering event.
The new Miss Universe El Salvador is no stranger to pageantry. She participated in Miss Earth Veracruz 2018, Mexicana Universal Veracruz, and Miss Veracruz 2019 but failed to reach the national finals.
"If I can be sure of something today more than ever, it is that dreams do come true if you persevere. You don't have to give up, because you never know when your chance will be to achieve what you've always dreamed of," she wrote in a statement on social media after winning her title.
