Miss Universe Italy 2022: Meet the contestants

The Miss Universe Italy 2022 contestants representing various regions of Italy have all been revealed. One of them will walk away with the national title in a few days and prepare for the 71st Miss Universe pageant.

Who will be the next beautifully confident woman who will raise the Italian flag on the global stage?

Let's find out during the national final this Sunday, September 18 at the Lo Smeraldo Ricevimente di Lusso in Puglia, a fantastic venue in Canosa.

Meet the winners of Miss Turkey 2025

The glittering Miss Turkey 2025 national competition was held last December 19 at the Lazzoni Hotel in Istanbul. A total of 20 stunning finalists were chosen to compete for the national titles that were at stake — Miss Turkey World and Miss Turkey Supranational. Sıla Saraydemir, a 22-year-old student, was crowned Miss Turkey World 2025. She is expected to represent Turkey at the 73rd Miss World competition whose date and venue have yet to be announced. The new Miss Turkey World received her crown and sash from former titleholder, Miss Turkey World 1995 Demet Şener. Miss Earth USA 2026 is Gia Soleil Espinoza from Texas

Gia Soleil Espinoza of Texas was crowned Miss Earth USA 2026 in a national competition held on Saturday, January 3 at Rosen Centre in Orlando, Florida. The 20-year-old criminal justice major and third-generation business owner from El Paso succeeds last year's winner Haley Poe. She will represent the USA at Miss Earth 2026 later this year. April Rodriguez of Lone Star State was named Miss Earth USA Air, while Angel Marie Strong of West Coast, Alanna Lynch of West Virginia, and Autumn Fisher of Kentucky were announced Miss Earth USA Water, Fire, and Eco, respectively. For the teen division, talented young model Mia Navarro, also from El Paso, clinched the title of Teen Miss Earth USA 2026. She was crowned by her predecessor Jordyn Campion. Miss International 2022 contestants had the chance to learn and experience ikebana from the experts at the Ikenobo school in Ochanomizu, Tokyo on Friday, December 2. Ikebana, which literally means "to give life to flowers" is the Japanese art of flower arrangement. It has already become a traditional part of the Miss International pageant activities. A total of 27 Miss International 2022 contestants were chosen to take part in the 6th International Women's Entrepreneurs Forum held on Tuesday, December 6 at the NBC headquarters in Tokyo, Japan. The selected contestants were from Australia, Belarus, Cabo Verde, Cambodia, Canada, Denmark, Finland, France, Haiti, Hawaii, Hong Kong, Honduras, Kenya, Laos, Namibia, Nepal, New Zealand, Nigeria, Northern Marianas, Paraguay, Peru, Romania, South Africa, Spain, United Kingdom, USA, and Venezuela. Miss Universe Venezuela 2025 is Clara Vegas of Miranda

Clara Vegas triumphed over 21 other contestants to win the title of Miss Universe Venezuela 2025 on Thursday, December 4 in Caracas. The 23-year-old model and actress from Miranda will represent Venezuela at the Miss Universe 2026 pageant to be held in Puerto Rico. Maria Evangelista Alayon of Amazonas was named first runner-up while Milena Paola Soto of Mérida, Gabriela de la Cruz of Yaracuy, and Gabriela Villegas of Monagas were the second, third, and fourth runners-up, respectively. Completing the Top 12 were the representatives of  Barinas, Anabelly Ojeda, Bolívar, Yosdanny Navarro, Delta Amacuro, Kelly Maita, Dependencias Federales, Valentina Martínez, Portuguesa, Génesis Mendoza, Sucre, Rosangel Mundaraín, and Táchira, Valeria del Amor. Catriona Gray emotional during Cheslie Kryst tribute at 71st Miss Universe

Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray was seen bursting into tears during an emotional tribute dedicated to former Miss USA Cheslie Kryst at the 71st Miss Universe pageant on January 14 in New Orleans. Catriona shared an apartment with Cheslie in New York City during their reigns. Cheslie tragically took her own life in January 2020 by jumping to her death from the Manhattan apartment building where she lived. During the tribute, a video montage was played showing a vibrant and happy Cheslie, while she was silently dealing with high-functioning depression. April Simpkins, Cheslie's mother, went onstage to give a moving message: "Cheslie loved this Miss Universe community. Miss International 2022 contestants experience Japanese tea ceremony

As part of Miss International tradition, this year's contestants were given the opportunity to experience the Japanese tea ceremony, a cultural activity involving the ceremonial preparation and presentation of tea. Selected contestants for this traditional activity were taken to the Enshu Sado School in Tokyo, a school of tea in Japan that was founded over 400 years ago during the early Edo period. Their Miss International 2022 journey will not be complete without the tea ceremony experience with no other than the grand tea master himself, Soujitsu Kobori. 71st Miss Universe: Meet the contestants from Europe

Out of over 80 contestants at the 71st Miss Universe pageant now happening in New Orleans, Louisiana, USA, 25 came from Europe. Switzerland returned to the competition after a 3-year break while for some reason several countries such as Denmark, Hungary, Ireland, Romania, and Sweden withdrew. Latvia, which was expected to compete for the first time since 2006, made the last-minute decision to not compete after its representative tested positive for COVID-19 before departure. Countries still waiting for their first win are   Albania, Armenia, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Iceland, Italy, Kosovo, Malta, Poland, Portugal, Slovak Republic, Switzerland, Turkiye, and Ukraine. Sweden still leads in Europe with three Miss Universe winners followed by Finland and France with two wins each. Germany, Greece, Netherlands, and Norway have each captured one victory in the past.
