Miss Intercontinental Denmark 2022 is Clara Sofie Lund
Miss Denmark 2021 Top 10 finalist Clara Sofie Lund has officially been announced as Miss Intercontinental Denmark 2022.
The 22-year-old financial economics student and a former elite athlete in Taekwondo from Aarhus will represent her country at the 50th Miss Intercontinental pageant this October in Sharm El Sheik, Egypt.
"While the sash and crown have become pop culture mainstays, the Miss Intercontinental event has grown to become an ultimate show an icon of female beauty and success," Miss Denmark Organization wrote in a statement on social media.
The statement continued: "Titleholders have gone on to high-profile careers in government, business, finance, film, and fashion. These are women of power and grace, commitment and intelligence, style and substance."
The new Miss Intercontinental Denmark describes herself as an open-minded, ambitious woman, who is also humble and empathic. She strives to inspire younger women, and believes, that true beauty comes from within, by believing in ourselves and being kind towards others.
Apart from traveling and exploring new cultures, Clara also loves to spend time with animals. She volunteered in South Africa twice for 2 months in total, to work with animals and helped local shelters.
"I am honored to finally be announcing that I am Miss Intercontinental Denmark 2022," she shared on social media.
"A huge thank you to my national director [Lisa Lents] for giving me this opportunity and experience ... also, a huge thanks to my sponsors and to everyone else who has helped me prepare for this," she added.
