Miss Intercontinental Vietnam 2022 Le Nguyen Bao Ngoc send-off ceremony


Vietnam's representative for the 50th Miss Intercontinental pageant in Egypt, Le Nguyen Bao Ngoc, was given a special send-off ceremony on Thursday, September 1.

The event took place at the Orchids Saigon Hotel in Ho Chi Minh City and was attended by the reigning Miss Intercontinental Cinderella Faye Obeñita from the Philippines as an invited special guest.

Prior to being appointed Miss Intercontinental Vietnam 2022, Bao Ngoc was named first runner-up at the Miss World Vietnam 2022 pageant last August 12.

The 21-year-old model and student will compete in the Miss Intercontinental 2022 final on October 14 in Sharm El Sheik, a city on the coastal strip along the beautiful Red Sea.

Plus-sized beauty Sara Milliken was crowned the National American Miss Alabama 2024 during the state final held on May 27 at the Renaissance Marriot in Montgomery. The 23-year-old model and mental health advocate from Atmore, Alabama is now expected to represent her home state at the National American Miss 2024 competition later this year. Samuel Nwajagu of Nigeria was proclaimed the grand winner of the Mister International 2024 pageant on Saturday, December 14 in Bangkok, Thailand. Aside from the international title, the 23-year-old model also bagged the Best in Swimsuit award. He succeeds last year's winner from Thailand, Kim Goodburn. Amadea Zupan was crowned Miss Slovenia 2024 (Miss World Slovenia) in a national competition held on Friday, January 10 in Lendava. The 26-year-old medical student at the University of Ljubljana beat 12 other contestants to win the title. She received the crown from her predecessor Alida Tomanič. Katja Zver was named first runner-up while Neja Prosenjak finished as second runner-up and also bagged the Miss Personality award. Miss America 2024 will be the 96th edition of the Miss America pageant — the nation's leading provider of scholarships for young women. The 51 state representatives have already been crowned and they will compete for the national title on January 14 at the Walt Disney Theater (Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts) in Orlando, Florida. Apart from raising the age limits to between 18 and 28, the 2024 competition under the new CEO Robin Ross-Fleming will also see other changes.
