Miss Turkey 2022 competition heats up


Over 100 eligible applicants turned up for the pre-qualification round of the Miss Turkey 2022 competition on Tuesday, September 13 at the Lazzoni Hotel in Istanbul.

From this round, the special jury will select only 20 beauties who will move on to the camp process and the grand final next Tuesday, September 20 at the same venue.

The Miss Turkey Organization has yet to announce the names of the Top 20 official finalists.

Just like every year, the winners of this year's competition will represent the country at Miss World, Miss Universe, and Miss Supranational pageants.

The country's most prestigious beauty pageant has been sending Turkish representatives to the world's largest competitions including Miss International since 1980. One of the remarkable winners is actress and dancer Azra Akın who won Miss World 2002.

Pastry chef and model Swann Lavigne from France was proclaimed Mister Supranational 2025 on Saturday, June 28 at the Strzelecki Park Amphitheater in Nowy Sącz, Poland. The 25-year-old bested 37 other contestants to win the international male pageant. He succeeds last year's winner Fezile Mkhize from South Africa. Zuemerik Veeris of Curacao, Mauricio Calvo of Mexico, Michael Mazi of Nigeria and Kenneth Vincent Cabungcal of the Philippines were named the first, second, third, and fourth runners-up, respectively. Miss Exclusive 2023: Meet the 15 finalists

The Miss Exclusive 2023 (Miss Earth Belgium 2023) grand final will be held tonight in Zottegem with a live broadcast from 9 p.m. local time on MENT TV . A total of 15 selected contestants will battle it out for the national title currently held by reigning Miss Exclusive and Miss Earth 2022 Top 8 finalist Daphne Nivelles. Meet the winners of Miss Turkey 2025

The glittering Miss Turkey 2025 national competition was held last December 19 at the Lazzoni Hotel in Istanbul. A total of 20 stunning finalists were chosen to compete for the national titles that were at stake — Miss Turkey World and Miss Turkey Supranational. Sıla Saraydemir, a 22-year-old student, was crowned Miss Turkey World 2025. She is expected to represent Turkey at the 73rd Miss World competition whose date and venue have yet to be announced. The new Miss Turkey World received her crown and sash from former titleholder, Miss Turkey World 1995 Demet Şener. Mia Zottoli Montanaro was proclaimed the winner of Miss Mondo Italia 2026 (Miss World Italy) last Sunday, June 14 at the Ecoresort Le Sirenè in Gallipoli. The 21-year-old model and former volleyball player of Argentine descent from Taranto, Puglia was crowned by her predecessor Sofia Viola. Basma Zaid of Basilicata and Azzura Sandrini of Lombardia were announced the first and second runners-up, respectively. Catalina Duque Abréu from Colombia was crowned Miss International 2025 at the culmination of the 63rd Miss International pageant on Thursday, November 27 in Tokyo, Japan. The 26-year-old model beat 79 other international beauties to win the coveted title. She succeeds last year's winner Huynh Thi Thanh Thuy of Vietnam. Yollanda Chimbarami of Zimbabwe, Paola Guzmán Sanchez of Bolivia, Melliza Xaviera Yulian of Indonesia, and Myrna Esguerra of the Philippines were named the first, second, third, and fourth runners-up, respectively. Miss Universe Curacao 2023 is Kim Rossen

Kim Rossen bested six other competitors to win Miss Universe Curacao 2023 on Saturday, May 27 at the World Trade Center (WTC) in Willemstad. The 25-year-old model, athlete, and occupational therapist living in Rotterdam, Netherlands will now prepare to represent Curacao at Miss Universe 2023 in El Salvador later this year. No stranger to pageantry, the University of Rotterdam graduate was first runner-up when she participated in Miss Curacao Holland 2023 last December. This year's Miss Universe Curacao final competition was hosted by Venezuelan television presenter Maite Delgado. Bianty Gomperts was named first runner-up while Kimberly Fernandes was announced as the second runner-up. Sofia Viola, representing Campania, was crowned Miss Mondo Italia 2025 (Miss World Italy) last June 15 at Ecoresort Le Sirenè in Gallipoli. The 21-year-old aspiring actress from Pozzuoli beat 29 other contestants to win the national title. She succeeds last year's winner Lucrezia Mangilli. Polish-American Emily Reng to represent Poland at Miss Universe 2025

Polish-American Emily Reng was officially announced by the Miss Polonia organization as Miss Universe Poland 2025 on Wednesday, October 22. The 20-year-old will now prepare to represent Poland at the Miss Universe 2025 pageant in Thailand this coming November. Emily is a graduate of John Hersey High School in Arlington Heights, Illinois and is currently a student at the University of South Carolina. The new Miss Universe Poland is no stranger to pageantry. Prior to competing at Miss Polonia 2024 where she finished second runner-up, she won the title of Miss Polish America 2024 in Chicago.
