Miss Universe Puerto Rico 2022 Ashley Cariño shares her favorite color in new photos


Miss Universe front-runner from Puerto Rico Ashley Cariño squeezed in a few latest photos while she is busy preparing for the competition of her life in just three months.

Photographed by Fani Miranda, the proud boricua went to social media on Saturday, September 24 to share the stunning shots of her wearing a gown by Laura Saez and the crown by Lido Jewelers.

"My favorite color is purple," she captioned in Spanish with a purple heart emoji and added: "It's no coincidence that purple is the mix of blue with red, the colors of my flag. Let violet be a balance between intensity and calm. It stands for dignity, creativity and magic."

The 28-year-old aerospace engineer and women in STEM advocate also continued by sharing how grateful she is for how her country has remained calm amid intensity and how they rise together as brothers.

Ashley was crowned Miss Universe Puerto Rico 2022 on August 11 in San Juan and this January, she will attempt to win her country's sixth Miss Universe title in New Orleans, Louisiana, USA.

Plus-sized beauty Sara Milliken was crowned the National American Miss Alabama 2024 during the state final held on May 27 at the Renaissance Marriot in Montgomery. The 23-year-old model and mental health advocate from Atmore, Alabama is now expected to represent her home state at the National American Miss 2024 competition later this year. "This is a dream that has been 8 years in the making for me," said the new National American Miss Alabama who first joined the state pageant when she was 15 years old. Samuel Nwajagu of Nigeria was proclaimed the grand winner of the Mister International 2024 pageant on Saturday, December 14 in Bangkok, Thailand. Aside from the international title, the 23-year-old model also bagged the Best in Swimsuit award. He succeeds last year's winner from Thailand, Kim Goodburn. Angélique Angarni-Filopon from Martinique beat 29 other contestants to win Miss France 2025 on Saturday, December 14 at the Futuroscope Arena in Vienne, Nouvelle-Aquitaine. Miss Universe Ukraine 2022 Viktoria Apanasenko finally revealed her symbolic national costume for the 71st Miss Universe pageant. The "Warrior of Light" costume symbolizes her nation's fight against the darkness, like an archangel Michael with a sword protecting Ukraine. It was completed in four months of extreme conditions, to the sound of sirens, without electricity, and by candlelight. In addition to a weapon in her hand, the costume also features a monolithic jumpsuit that covers Viktoria's body like armor, a vyshyvanka-styled white dress with puffy sleeves and skirt with over 10 meters of fabric, a beautiful headpiece, and wings inspired by the colors of the Ukrainian flag.
