Miss World Japan 2022 is Kana Yamaguchi


Kana Yamaguchi bested 30 other finalists (including her sister) to be crowned Miss World Japan 2022 on Thursday, September 22 at the Hulic Hall Tokyo.

The 24-year-old licensed teacher, model, and TV host from Toyama Prefecture succeeds last year's winner Tamaki Hoshi and will now prepare to represent Japan at the 71st Miss World pageant.

Years prior to winning her national title, the new Miss World Japan has never imagined standing in front of an audience. "I would be happy if my challenge could be someone's courage, strength, and hope. Thank you for giving me the chance to stand here again, and next time I will spread my wings to the world," she said in her bio for the competition.

Kana also wants a society where sports enrich the lives of children and increase the number of people who aim for a well-being lifestyle through sports. She believes that with her new position, she can communicate with the government and the board of education to realize it.

Apart from the ultimate winner in the glittering competition, Yuria Hirose, Nao Nakamura, and Kiana Tomita completed the Top 4 finalists and were announced as runners-up.

Japan has yet to win the Miss World pageant. The country's highest achievement so far was a third runner-up finish in 1956 with its first-ever representative Midoriko Tokura.

The final date and venue for the next Miss World edition have yet to be announced.

Miss Alabama USA 2024 is Diane Westhoven

Miss Southern Plains, Diane Westhoven was crowned Miss Alabama USA 2024 during the state final on Saturday, June 1 at Auburn University's Jay and Susie Gogue Performing Arts Center. The 21-year-old student from Birmingham will now prepare to represent Alabama at Miss USA 2024 this summer in Hollywood, California. The Miss America 2025 final competition will be held this Sunday, January 5 at The Walt Disney Theater of the Dr. Phillips Center for Performing Arts in Orlando, Florida. You can watch the Miss America as well as Miss America's Teen 2025 preliminary competition, talent competition, gala fashion show, and finals live streaming on PageantVision.com   site. Miss Slovenia 2024 is Amadea Zupan from Sežana

Amadea Zupan was crowned Miss Slovenia 2024 (Miss World Slovenia) in a national competition held on Friday, January 10 in Lendava. The 26-year-old medical student at the University of Ljubljana beat 12 other contestants to win the title. She received the crown from her predecessor Alida Tomanič. Katja Zver was named first runner-up while Neja Prosenjak finished as second runner-up and also bagged the Miss Personality award. Abbie Stockard from Vestavia Hills, Alabama was crowned Miss America 2025 on Sunday, January 5 at The Walt Disney Theater of the Dr. Phillips Center for Performing Arts in Orlando, Florida. Angélique Angarni-Filopon from Martinique beat 29 other contestants to win Miss France 2025 on Saturday, December 14 at the Futuroscope Arena in Vienne, Nouvelle-Aquitaine. The 34-year-old flight attendant became the oldest winner of the prestigious national pageant. She also made history as the first woman from Martinique to become Miss France. Milla Magee was crowned Miss England 2024 (Miss World England) on Friday, May 17 at The Grand Station in Wolverhampton. The 23-year-old qualified beach lifeguard from Newquay, Cornwall bested 39 other contestants to win the national title. She received the crown from her predecessor, the 71st Miss World Top 8 finalist who was awarded the titles Miss World Europe and Miss United Kingdom  Jessica Ashley Gagen . Miss America 2024 will be the 96th edition of the Miss America pageant — the nation's leading provider of scholarships for young women. The 51 state representatives have already been crowned and they will compete for the national title on January 14 at the Walt Disney Theater (Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts) in Orlando, Florida. Xinying Zhu from Anhui crowned Miss Universe China

China officially crowned two national queens for Miss Universe in one year. Two separate national events were held this year. Xinying Zhu from Anhui province was recently crowned Miss Universe China following an intense one-week competition in Zhangjiajie. The 18-year-old vocational student majoring to become a flight attendant at Suzhou Aviation Vocational College is expected to represent China at Miss Universe 2026. She was crowned by her predecessor, Xue Hou, who won the national title in Sanya last July. Xue will head to the Miss Universe 2025 pageant.
