Miss World Singapore 2022 is Oh Wei Qi


Oh Wei Qi was crowned Miss World Singapore 2022 in a glittering competition held on Saturday, September 10 at the state-of-the-art The Theatre at Mediacorp.

The 23-year-old artist and entrepreneur will now prepare to represent Singapore at the 71st Miss World pageant. She succeeds last year's titleholder Khailing Ho.

"Everything feels so surreal to me, it feels like a dream," she wrote in a statement on social media and recalled how she joined the pageant for the first time in 2021.

"It was my first pageant experience and definitely one that taught me the beauty of Miss World and the possibilities I can do to give back to society," she said.

She also added, "It showed me that my dreams are not as far-fetched as it seems if I am not willing to give up."

Also crowned at the same event were Miss Intercontinental Singapore 2022 Gerlyn Cheah and Miss Globe Singapore 2022 Saranya Chyenne. They will compete in Miss Intercontinental and The Miss Globe pageants, respectively.

The ever beautiful reigning Miss World Karolina Bielawska graced the event as a special guest.

Samuel Nwajagu of Nigeria was proclaimed the grand winner of the Mister International 2024 pageant on Saturday, December 14 in Bangkok, Thailand. Aside from the international title, the 23-year-old model also bagged the Best in Swimsuit award. He succeeds last year's winner from Thailand, Kim Goodburn. Nguyen Man Lan of Vietnam and Glenn Victor Sutanto were announced as the first and second runners-up, respectively. Plus-sized beauty Sara Milliken was crowned the National American Miss Alabama 2024 during the state final held on May 27 at the Renaissance Marriot in Montgomery. The 23-year-old model and mental health advocate from Atmore, Alabama is now expected to represent her home state at the National American Miss 2024 competition later this year. The semifinal round of Miss Polski 2024 (Miss Poland 2024) took place on Friday, April 26 at Hotel Kolumna Park in Przygoń. From 59 semifinalists, only 32 beauties (two from each region) have been selected to move on to the final competition to be held this July. María Cepero Jiménez of Puerto Rico was crowned Miss Intercontinental 2024 on Friday, December 6 in Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt.
