Krisdee Clark of South Carolina is the new Mrs. American 2022

Mrs. American Organization President Elaine Marmel confirmed the resignation of Trenette Norris as Mrs. American 2022 in an official press release on Wednesday, October 5.

The New Jersey resident, who won the title on August 19 at the Westgate Las Vegas Resort & Casino in Nevada, has now been replaced by first runner-up Krisdee Clark of South Carolina.

According to a person familiar with the situation, Trenette was forced to resign after it was discovered she was not married and had forged documentation of her marriage.

Investigation proved she was previously married in 2017 and divorced in 2018. However, she was never legally remarried, the source said.

To compete for Mrs. American, you must be married, at least 18 years of age or older at the time of the pageant, and a citizen of the United States.

The new Mrs. American is a bachelor of science graduate of the University of South Carolina and currently working as a director of corporate affairs for the largest hospice and palliative care provider in South Carolina and Georgia.

Krisdee is a breast cancer survivor and an advocate who founded the blog "The Blonde Bombshell" to help women thrive after battling with the disease. She resides in Chapin, South Carolina with her husband and two adorable children.
