Miss Brasil Terra 2022 is Jessica Pedroso of São Paulo


Miss São Paulo, Jessica Pedroso, bested 26 other contestants to be crowned Miss Brasil Terra 2022 (Miss Brazil Earth) on Wednesday, October 12 at the Sheraton São Paulo WTC Hotel.

The 23-year-old fashion model and bilingual teacher succeeds last year's titleholder Cássia Adriane Araújo and will now represent Brazil at the Miss Earth 2022 pageant in the Philippines come November.

Rounding out the Top 5 finalists were Eduarda Van de Sand (Paraná), Larissa Han (Espírito Santo), and Juliana Rosa (Santa Catarina), who were respectively named Miss Brazil Air, Water and Fire, while Alana Santos (Ceará) placed fifth.

This year's competition was the first edition of the Miss Brasil Terra pageant under the leadership of businessman Marcelo Riformato as executive director.

Former queens Deise Nunes (Miss Brasil 1986), Patrícia Godoi (Miss Brasil 1991), Júlia Gama (Miss Brasil 2020 and Miss Universe first runner-up), and Teresa Santos (Miss Universo Brasil 2021) were part of the judging panel.

Amazonians Priscilla Meirelles (Miss Earth 2004) and Larissa Ramos (Miss Earth 2009) remotely gave a special message during the show.

The new Miss Brasil Terra holds a degree in education, a master's in modern language, and is from a family of educators. Her social project "seeds of good" aims to educate children from municipal, public, rural, and suburban schools, in a playful way, about their importance and how we can change the world if we are united for a greater cause, thus becoming the guardians of good for our future.

Philippines' Alexie Caimoso Brooks crowned Miss Eco International 2025

Alexie Caimoso Brooks from the Philippines was crowned Miss Eco International 2025 on Saturday, April 19 at the Hilton Alexandria Green Plaza in Egypt. The 24-year-old athlete and model from the province of Iloilo became the third Filipina to win the international pageant next to Cynthia Thomalla (2018) and Kathleen Paton (2022). Yulinar Fitrani of Indonesia was named first runner-up while Yelyzaveta Adamska of Ukraine, Cynthia Murillo of the USA, and Victoria Repollo Inglis of the United Kingdom finished second, third, and fourth runners-up, respectively. The new Miss Eco International bested over 30 other contestants to succeed last year's winner Angelina Usanova from Ukraine. She also bagged the Best in National Costume award. Former Binibining Pilipinas Globe titleholder Anna Valencia Lakrini was crowned Miss Supranational Germany 2025 at the recently held Queens of Germany 2025 pageant in Berlin. The 27-year-old Filipino-German, born in Stuttgart, will now prepare to represent Germany at Miss Supranational 2025 in Poland this June. Luna Negrín, repesenting Madrid, was crowned Miss Supranational Spain 2025 during the Miss RNB España 2025 final gala held on Saturday, April 12 at the Teatre Auditori Salou (TAS). The 21-year-old journalism student will represent Spain at Miss Supranational 2025 in Poland this June. She succeeds last year's winner Elizabeth Laker. Former Miss Universe Iceland Sóldís Vala Ívarsdóttir was officially proclaimed Miss Earth Iceland 2025 during the recently held Ungfrú Ísland 2025 (Miss Iceland) pageant in Reykjavík. The 19-year-old beauty received the crown from her predecessor Hrafnhildur Haraldsdóttir who made the Top 4 at the Miss Earth 2024 pageant in the Philippines. Helena Hafþórsdóttir O'Connor was crowned Ungfrú Ísland 2025 (Miss Universe Iceland) on Thursday, April 3 at Gamla Bíó in Reykjavik. Ivana Batchelor was crowned Miss Universe Guatemala 2022 on Friday, June 3 at the Centro Cultural Miguel Ángel Asturias in Guatemala City. The 21-year-old professional model is a native of Quetzaltenango. She is pursuing a bachelor of science degree in social communication and enjoys dancing flamenco.
