Miss USA 2022 is R’Bonney Gabriel of Texas

Miss Texas USA R’Bonney Gabriel was crowned Miss USA 2022 in a glittering final show that took place on Monday, October 3 the Grand Sierra Resort in Reno, Nevada.

The 28-year-old fashion designer and model who runs her own eco-friendly clothing line made history by becoming the first ever Filipino-American woman to win the Miss USA pageant.

Morgan Romano of North Carolina finished as the first runner-up while Natalie Pieper of Nebraska, Sir'Quora Carroll of Ohio, and Angel Reyes of Illinois were the second, third, and fourth runners-up, respectively.

The representatives of Connecticut (Cynthia Dias), Kansas (Elyse Noe), Minnesota (Madeline Helget), New Hampshire (Camila Sacco), New Mexico (Suzanne Perez), Tennessee (Emily Suttle), and Vermont (Kelsey Golonka) rounded out the Top 12.

California (Tiffany Johnson), the District of Columbia (Faith Porter), Missouri (Mikala McGhee), and West Virginia (Krystian Leonard) were the rest of the Top 16 semi-finalists.

This year's competition produced by The Miss Brand Corp under the leadership of former Miss USA Crystle Stewart marked the 71st edition of the annual national pageant.

Cheslie Kryst who tragically passed away earlier this year was honored during the show, at the same venue where she was crowned Miss USA 2019.

Reigning Miss Universe from India Harnaaz Sandhu graced the event as a special guest and she was joined by Miss Universe Organization President Paula Shugart and CEO Amy Emmerich.

At the end of the show, Elle Smith of Kentucky crowned her successor who will now prepare to represent the USA at the 71st Miss Universe pageant in New Orleans, Louisiana this January.
