Miss Earth 2022: Australia, Colombia, Netherlands, and Nigeria win press presentation


Over 80 eco-warriors made it to the Miss Earth 2022 official press presentation on Monday, November 14 at the Cove Manila (Okada Manila) in Parañaque City.

The contestants strutted their stuff down the runway wearing their official swimwear sponsored by Ricky Abad in front of the local and international media.

Standouts were beauties from Australia, Belize, Colombia, Cuba, Nigeria, Peru, Philippines, Portugal, Russia, Thailand, USA, Venezuela, Vietnam, Zambia, and Zimbabwe.

Four continental medalists were voted "Darling of the Press" and they are Australia's Sheridan Mortlock for Asia and Oceania, Colombia's Andrea Aguilera for the Americas, Netherlands' Merel Hendriksen for Europe, and Nigeria's Esther Ajayi for Africa.

The event was hosted by former Miss Earth Karen Ibasco of the Philippines and reigning queen Destiny Wagner of Belize. Former Miss Earth from Puerto Rico, Nellys Pimentel was also present at the same venue where she was crowned in 2019.

Since the contestants' arrival and check-in to their official hotel residence over the weekend, they have been busy with sponsor visits, an environmental seminar organized by the ASEAN Centre for Biodiversity at the Makiling Botanical Gardens, in Los Banos, Laguna, and a welcome dinner at the Versailles Palace in Alabang.

Following their press presentation, they will all be in Zamboanga City from November 15 to 17 for their swimsuit competition and then back to their official groupings for other events and destinations.

Miss Universe Czech Republic 2025 is Michaela Tomanová

Michaela Tomanová was crowned Miss Universe Czech Republic 2025 (Miss Universe Czechia) on Wednesday, June 25 at Chateau de Frontiere in Hlohovec. The 27-year-old mother, model and scientist from Prague will represent the Czech Republic at the Miss Universe 2025 pageant in Thailand this November. Completing the Top 4 finalists were Eva Brožková, Petra Šafránková, and Sarah Duong Vu Thi Thuy. The new Miss Universe Czech Republic became the first national winner under the directorship of fashion designer Sam Dolce. France's Swann Lavigne wins Mister Supranational 2025

Pastry chef and model Swann Lavigne from France was proclaimed Mister Supranational 2025 on Saturday, June 28 at the Strzelecki Park Amphitheater in Nowy Sącz, Poland. The 25-year-old bested 37 other contestants to win the international male pageant. He succeeds last year's winner Fezile Mkhize from South Africa. Zuemerik Veeris of Curacao, Mauricio Calvo of Mexico, Michael Mazi of Nigeria and Kenneth Vincent Cabungcal of the Philippines were named the first, second, third, and fourth runners-up, respectively. Sarah Leena Boujaoude to represent Lebanon at Miss Universe 2025

Miss Lebanon 2024 first runner-up Sarah Leena Boujaoude has recently been officially appointed as Miss Universe Lebanon 2025. The 20-year-old fashion model and a finance student at the American University of Beirut will represent Lebanon at Miss Universe 2025. Miss Universe New Zealand 2025 is Abbigail Sturgin

Lao-Kiwi Abbigail Sturgin was crowned Miss Universe New Zealand 2025 on Tuesday, June 24 at the SkyCity Theatre in Auckland. The 28-year-old police officer succeeds last year's winner Victoria Velasquez Vincent and will represent New Zealand at Miss Universe 2025 in Thailand this November. Isabella Zabaneh was crowned Miss Universe Belize 2025 in a national competition held Saturday, June 28 at Belize City Civic Center. The 21-year-old beauty succeeds last year's winner Halima Hoy and will now prepare to represent Belize at Miss Universe 2025 in Thailand this November. Monisha Hyde and Hope Panton were named the first and second runners-up, respectively. The rest of the finalists were Imani Jex and Libny Rodriguez. Fatima Koné was crowned Miss Côte d'Ivoire 2025 in a national competition held on Saturday, June 28 in Abidjan. The 23-year-old beauty, representing the region on Hambol, edged out 29 other contestants to win the coveted national title. Diane Gouano of N'Zi and Marie-Axelle Gbogou of Folon were named the first and second runners-up, respectively. The Comité Miss Cote d'Ivoire (COMICI) has yet to announce which international pageant the new Miss Côte d'Ivoire will participate in. Miss World Hungary 2025 is Janka Végvári

Janka Végvári from Mosonmagyaróvár beat 15 other finalists to be crowned Miss World Hungary 2025 in a spectacular show on Sunday, June 22 in Budapest. The 17-year-old high school student succeeds last year's winner Andrea Katzenbach and is expected to represent Hungary at the 73rd Miss World.
