Miss Jamaica World 2022 is Shanique Singh


Shanique Singh was crowned Miss Jamaica World 2022 from a field of 13 competitors on Sunday, December 4 at the Courtleigh Auditorium in Kingston.

The 25-year-old medical student at the University of the West Indies also won the Beach Beauty, Talent, and Beauty With A Purpose fast track events. She has now succeeded last year's titleholder Khalia Hall and will now prepare to represent Jamaica at the 71st Miss World pageant.

Lineisha Davis and Tahje Bennett were respectively announced as the first and second runners-up while Asheka Robinson and Toni-Ann Martin rounded out the Top 5 finalists.

The new Miss Jamaica World will now embark on a wonderful journey of a lifetime raising her flag on the global stage and following the incredible footsteps of her predecessors. Her Beauty With A Purpose project is focused on the holistic approach to the reproductive and sexual health of females.

Jamaica has won the Miss World crown four times with Miss World 1963 Carole Crawford, Miss World 1976 Cindy Breakspeare, Miss World 1993 Lisa Hanna, and Miss World 2019 Toni-Ann Singh.

Opal Suchata Chuangsri was officially proclaimed Miss World Thailand 2025 in a special press presentation held on Tuesday, April 22 in Bangkok. The 22-year-old political science major at Thammasat University will represent Thailand at Miss World 2025 in Hyderabad ( Telangana), India this May. No stranger to pageantry, Opal was previously crowned Miss Universe Thailand and went to Miss Universe 2024 in Mexico where she finished as the third runner-up. Plus-sized beauty Sara Milliken was crowned the National American Miss Alabama 2024 during the state final held on May 27 at the Renaissance Marriot in Montgomery. Alexie Caimoso Brooks from the Philippines was crowned Miss Eco International 2025 on Saturday, April 19 at the Hilton Alexandria Green Plaza in Egypt. The 24-year-old athlete and model from the province of Iloilo became the third Filipina to win the international pageant next to Cynthia Thomalla (2018) and Kathleen Paton (2022). Mirna Alejandra Caballini Bouche has been revealed by the Señorita Panama organization as official representative of Panama for Miss Universe 2025. The 22-year-old professional model, singer, theater actress and fashion designer will head to Thailand to compete in the 74th Miss Universe pageant this November. Luna Negrín, repesenting Madrid, was crowned Miss Supranational Spain 2025 during the Miss RNB España 2025 final gala held on Saturday, April 12 at the Teatre Auditori Salou (TAS). The 21-year-old journalism student will represent Spain at Miss Supranational 2025 in Poland this June. She succeeds last year's winner Elizabeth Laker.
