Mahasarakham to host 9th Mister Global edition in November 2023


Mahasarakham, Thailand has been announced as the official host city of Mister Global 2023, the 9th Mister Global edition from November 15 to November 26, 2023.

Also spelled as Maha Sarakham, the province is one of the 76 provinces of Thailand which lies in the heart of Isan, the country's northeastern region.

According to the official website of the Tourism Authority of Thailand, the province is famous for its historical sites, beautiful Buddhist temples and Buddha images, and exquisite woven materials, including handmade silk and cotton fabrics. Its people are primarily engaged in agriculture, the mainstay of the province’s economy.

This year's competition will be the second Mister Global edition to be held in Mahasarakham, the first time was the 7th edition (Mister Global 2021) which was held in March 2022.

Mister Global 2022 Juan Carlos Ariosa will crown his successor at the end of the event.

Further details of the next competition are yet to be announced.

Plus-sized beauty Sara Milliken was crowned the National American Miss Alabama 2024 during the state final held on May 27 at the Renaissance Marriot in Montgomery. Amadea Zupan was crowned Miss Slovenia 2024 (Miss World Slovenia) in a national competition held on Friday, January 10 in Lendava. The 26-year-old medical student at the University of Ljubljana beat 12 other contestants to win the title. She received the crown from her predecessor Alida Tomanič. Samuel Nwajagu of Nigeria was proclaimed the grand winner of the Mister International 2024 pageant on Saturday, December 14 in Bangkok, Thailand. Angélique Angarni-Filopon from Martinique beat 29 other contestants to win Miss France 2025 on Saturday, December 14 at the Futuroscope Arena in Vienne, Nouvelle-Aquitaine. The 34-year-old flight attendant became the oldest winner of the prestigious national pageant. She also made history as the first woman from Martinique to become Miss France. Miss America 2024 will be the 96th edition of the Miss America pageant — the nation's leading provider of scholarships for young women. The 51 state representatives have already been crowned and they will compete for the national title on January 14 at the Walt Disney Theater (Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts) in Orlando, Florida.
