Miss Slovensko 2023: Meet the 12 finalists


The finalists vying for Miss Slovensko 2023 (Miss Slovakia) were officially revealed last Tuesday, February 7 at DoubleTree by Hilton Bratislava.

From hundreds of applicants, a total of 12 beauties were chosen by an esteemed panel of judges consisting of national director Michael Kováčik, Miss Slovensko 2021 Sophia Hrivňáková, stylist Alex Lindov, and photographer Lukáš Kimlička to name a few.

In the next few months, the finalists will go through training sessions, workshops, and preparations including trips to exciting locations in the country and abroad, leading up to the final that will air on TV JOJ next June.

Prizes for the winner include a contract with LGM Production, a luxury apartment from Proxenta, and a car (DS 4) during her reign, plus a holiday trip for two to Senegal courtesy of Hydrotour.

The next Miss Slovensko is expected to represent the Slovak Republic at Miss World while the runners-up will have the opportunity to compete in Miss International, Miss Intercontinental, and Miss Supranational pageants.

Miss Universe Czech Republic 2025 is Michaela Tomanová

Michaela Tomanová was crowned Miss Universe Czech Republic 2025 (Miss Universe Czechia) on Wednesday, June 25 at Chateau de Frontiere in Hlohovec. The 27-year-old mother, model and scientist from Prague will represent the Czech Republic at the Miss Universe 2025 pageant in Thailand this November. Completing the Top 4 finalists were Eva Brožková, Petra Šafránková, and Sarah Duong Vu Thi Thuy. The new Miss Universe Czech Republic became the first national winner under the directorship of fashion designer Sam Dolce. Michaela is a proud mom to a 14-month-old daughter and an advocate for HIV awareness. She entered the competition with a vision to unite science, advocacy, and public voice. Miss Universe New Zealand 2025 is Abbigail Sturgin

Lao-Kiwi Abbigail Sturgin was crowned Miss Universe New Zealand 2025 on Tuesday, June 24 at the SkyCity Theatre in Auckland. The 28-year-old police officer succeeds last year's winner Victoria Velasquez Vincent and will represent New Zealand at Miss Universe 2025 in Thailand this November. Hannah Cross was named first runner-up while Noor Randhawa, Gazelle Garcia, and Deborah Lambie were the second, third, and fourth runners-up, respectively. Miss Lebanon 2024 first runner-up Sarah Leena Boujaoude has recently been officially appointed as Miss Universe Lebanon 2025. The 20-year-old fashion model and a finance student at the American University of Beirut will represent Lebanon at Miss Universe 2025. "My cause is to empower women by promoting self-acceptance and inner beauty," shared the new Miss Universe Lebanon. France's Swann Lavigne wins Mister Supranational 2025

Pastry chef and model Swann Lavigne from France was proclaimed Mister Supranational 2025 on Saturday, June 28 at the Strzelecki Park Amphitheater in Nowy Sącz, Poland. The 25-year-old bested 37 other contestants to win the international male pageant. He succeeds last year's winner Fezile Mkhize from South Africa. Zuemerik Veeris of Curacao, Mauricio Calvo of Mexico, Michael Mazi of Nigeria and Kenneth Vincent Cabungcal of the Philippines were named the first, second, third, and fourth runners-up, respectively. Miss Polonia 2025 is Maja Todd from Katowice

Maja Todd from Katowice was crowned Miss Polonia 2025 in a glittering national competition held on Sunday, June 22 in Warsaw. The 20-year-old economics student bested 23 other contestants to win the national title. She is expected to represent Poland at the 73rd Miss World competition. Julia Łuczak and Justyna Roguska were named the first and second runners-up, respectively. Miss Universe Peru 2025 is Karla Bacigalupo

Karla Bacigalupo was crowned Miss Peru 2025 (Miss Universe Peru 2025) in a national competition held last Sunday, June 15 in the historic city of Cusco. The 33-year-old actress and producer will now prepare to represent Peru at Miss Universe 2025 to be held in Thailand this November. Former Reina Hispanoamerican Maricielo Gamarra was announced as first runner-up while former Top Model of the World Janet Leyva finished as the second runner-up. The 25-year-old model and influencer, representing Espírito Santo, will represent Brazil at Miss Supranational 2025 in Poland this June. Spain's Juul Messiaen crowned Man of the World 2025

Man of the World 2025, the 7th edition of the annual Man of the World competition was held on Saturday, May 31 at the SM North Edsa Skydome in Quezon City, Philippines. Juul Messiaen, a 23-year-old model, athlete and real estate agent from Málaga, Spain bested over 20 other contestants to win the international male pageant. Israel Sierra of Mexico was named first runner-up while Sittichok Panitloedtewa of Thailand, Honza Jiránek of the Czech Republic, and Sworman Delgado of Panama were the second, third, and fourth runners-up, respectively.
