Mister Supranational Dominican Republic 2023 is Jan Carrasco
Jan Carrasco was proclaimed Mister Supranational Dominican Republic 2023 on Saturday, April 22 at the Auditorio Patrick N. Hughson in Santo Domingo.
The 29-year-old actor and photographer representing Santiago bested 14 other competitors to win the national competition. He succeeded Lewis Echavarria and will now prepare for Mister Supranational 2023 to be held in Poland this July.
Alexander Agramonte of Punta Cana was named first runner-up while Luis Angel de la Cruz of Samana, Ledwis Lorenzo Collado of Espaillat, and Jorge Correa of Santo Domingo were the second, third, and fourth runners-up, respectively.
Reigning Mister Supranational Luis Daniel Galvez Blanco of Cuba and the Dominican Republic's very own Mister International Manu Franco were special guests at the event.
In a statement on social media after winning his title, the new Mister Supranational Dominican Republic admitted that he has been following the Mister Supranational pageant for several years.
As a goal, Jan hopes to achieve it not only for himself but for those young people who despite their lack of opportunities and privileges never lose confidence in themselves and the possibilities that can be attained through hard work with integrity.
"We can be better, different, honest and create our own path towards everything that makes us happy and that by default makes us better people to make this world better for everyone," he said.
