Makaʻala Perry to represent Hawaii at Miss International 2023


Makaʻala Perry is the newly appointed Miss International Hawaii 2023 and will represent the Aloha State at Miss International 2023 in Japan this October.

The 24-year-old flight attendant, business owner, and musician was announced as Priscilla Wang's successor for the national title last month.

Besides working for Hawaiian Airlines and running her own business called Sunbeams Creamery, a dessert shop located in Wahiawa, she is also pursuing her bachelor of arts degree in music at the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa.

As a musician and hula dancer, she performs regularly doing seasonal shows at the Four Seasons Ko’olina and travels to Japan, Canada, and Taiwan sharing her love of music and dance.

Born and raised on the island of Oʻahu, Makaʻala is passionate about preserving the arts and perpetuating Hawaiian culture. She hopes to inspire others to follow their passions in life and make a positive impact on our communities.

The 61st Miss International pageant will be held in Shibuya, Tokyo, Japan on October 26.

Miss Grand Thailand 2025 is Sarunrat Puagpipat of Phuket

Sarunrat Puagpipat, representing Phuket, was crowned Miss Grand Thailand 2025 during the national final competition held on Saturday, March 29 at MGI Hall in Bangkok. The 28-year-old beauty bested 76 other contestants to win the title and the first back to back victory for her province. She succeeds last year's winner, also from Phuket, Malin Chara-anan. Bellezas Globales de Nicaragua 2025, four new queens crowned

Four new queens have been crowned at the culmination of the Bellezas Globales de Nicaragua 2025 pageant held on Sunday, March 23 at the Teatro Nacional Rubén Darío in Managua. A total of 24 beauties battled it out to win the opportunity to represent Nicaragua in the next Miss World, Miss International, Miss Supranational and Miss Cosmo competitions. Crowned Miss Mundo Nicaragua 2025 (Miss World Nicaragua) is Virmania Rodríguez who will head to Hyderabad, India this May to compete in the 72nd Miss World. Tarlac's Jasmine Omay appointed Universal Woman Philippines 2025

Jasmine Omay has been appointed as Universal Woman Philippines 2025 and was officially crowned in a special ceremony held on Tuesday, March 25 in Quezon City. The 27-year-old events host, model and pilot from Tarlac will represent the Philippines at the Universal Woman 2025 pageant in Jaipur, India this June. Her predecessor  Maria Gigante from Cebu became the first Filipina to win the title of Universal Woman last year in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. Katerina Delvina, 28, bested nine other finalists to be crowned Miss World Singapore 2025 in a recently held national competition in Singapore. The biomedical research student, model, and passionate advocate for charity work will represent Singapore in the upcoming Miss World 2025 competition in Hyderabad, India. Miss Botswana 2025 is Ruth Thomas from Masunga

Ruth Thomas was crowned Miss Botswana 2025 (Miss World Bostwana) on Saturday, March 22 at The Grand Palm Hotel Casino Convention Resort in Gaborone. The 24-year-old clothing and textile design graduate from the village of Masunga bested nine other finalists to win the national title. She succeeds last year's winner Anicia Gaothusi from Tutume and is expected to represent Botswana at the 73rd Miss World competition.
