Petra Hämäläinen to represent Finland at Miss International 2023


Miss Suomi 2022 (Miss Finland 2022) Petra Hämäläinen was officially announced as Miss International Finland 2023 on Wednesday, July 26.

National director Sunneva Sjögren made the announcement with the presence of reigning Miss International Jasmin Selberg of Germany at the Choicely office in Helsinki.

The 27-year-old teacher and model with a bachelor's degree in educational sciences will now prepare to represent Finland at Miss International 2023 in Tokyo, Japan this October.

Petra was crowned Miss Suomi in September last year, held the title of Miss Universe Finland, and went on to participate in the 71st Miss Universe pageant held in New Orleans, Louisiana in January.

As an ambassador for HaTTu ry, she raises money and awareness for the nonprofit organization that provides an equal chance for children from low-income families to have a hobby. She believes in the importance of hobbies and communities for their well-being.

The new Miss International Finland will be formally designated for the title on September 9 as she also relinquishes her national crown to the winner of Miss Suomi 2023.

The Miss America 2025 final competition will be held this Sunday, January 5 at The Walt Disney Theater of the Dr. Phillips Center for Performing Arts in Orlando, Florida. Xinying Zhu from Anhui crowned Miss Universe China

China officially crowned two national queens for Miss Universe in one year. Two separate national events were held this year. Xinying Zhu from Anhui province was recently crowned Miss Universe China following an intense one-week competition in Zhangjiajie. The 18-year-old vocational student majoring to become a flight attendant at Suzhou Aviation Vocational College is expected to represent China at Miss Universe 2026. She was crowned by her predecessor, Xue Hou, who won the national title in Sanya last July. Xue will head to the Miss Universe 2025 pageant. Nigeria's Samuel Nwajagu wins Mister International 2024

Samuel Nwajagu of Nigeria was proclaimed the grand winner of the Mister International 2024 pageant on Saturday, December 14 in Bangkok, Thailand. Aside from the international title, the 23-year-old model also bagged the Best in Swimsuit award. He succeeds last year's winner from Thailand, Kim Goodburn. Nguyen Man Lan of Vietnam and Glenn Victor Sutanto were announced as the first and second runners-up, respectively. The Mister International pageant, a celebrated event in the world of male beauty, was established in 2006 in Singapore by Alan Sim, its original president and founder.
