Miss Universe Bahrain 2023: Meet the finalists

From hundreds of aspirants, the Top 7 finalists selected to compete for the title of Miss Universe Bahrain 2023 have been officially revealed on Thursday, July 7.

One of them will succeed the reigning queen Evlin Khalifa and represent Bahrain at the 72nd Miss Universe (Miss Universe 2023) in El Salvador.

Fan voting is now open on the Choicely app where you can vote for your favorites until August 5. The winner from the public votes will be announced during the grand final show this September.

Who will be the next Miss Universe Bahrain?

Meet the finalists:


Advaita Shetty - 28, has a degree in animal welfare and environmental health and currently pursuing her master's in clinical audiology.

Lujane Yacoub - 19, an actress, a dancer, and a model who plans to pursue her passion and study Creative Arts in London.

Mariam Naji - 26, a school principal, social media influencer, and member of Bahrain’s national fencing team.

Mary Mohamed - 28, a Bahraini-Filipina, certified cognitive behavioral counselor specializing in eating disorder.

Menatalla Husein - 20, loves to play billiards and draw. She wants to use her voice to advocate for orphans and open more discussions about mental health within her community.

Nivine Abouzeid - 24, a marketing and PR professional in one of the region's leading hospitality, transportation, and real estate developers.

Tuhina Carrol - 28, a flight attendant for Bahrain's national airline. She lives by her philosophy "treat people the way you want to be treated."

Nigeria's Samuel Nwajagu wins Mister International 2024

Samuel Nwajagu of Nigeria was proclaimed the grand winner of the Mister International 2024 pageant on Saturday, December 14 in Bangkok, Thailand. Aside from the international title, the 23-year-old model also bagged the Best in Swimsuit award. He succeeds last year's winner from Thailand, Kim Goodburn. Nguyen Man Lan of Vietnam and Glenn Victor Sutanto were announced as the first and second runners-up, respectively. Anthony Henricus of the Netherlands, Justine Carl Ong of the Philippines (fan vote winner), and Rafael Dominguez of Spain rounded out the Top 6 finalists. Plus-sized beauty Sara Milliken was crowned the National American Miss Alabama 2024 during the state final held on May 27 at the Renaissance Marriot in Montgomery. The 23-year-old model and mental health advocate from Atmore, Alabama is now expected to represent her home state at the National American Miss 2024 competition later this year. "This is a dream that has been 8 years in the making for me," said the new National American Miss Alabama who first joined the state pageant when she was 15 years old. Miss Polski 2024: Meet the 32 finalists

The semifinal round of Miss Polski 2024 (Miss Poland 2024) took place on Friday, April 26 at Hotel Kolumna Park in Przygoń. From 59 semifinalists, only 32 beauties (two from each region) have been selected to move on to the final competition to be held this July. The next Miss Polski, to be crowned by last year's titleholder  Angelika Jurkowianiec , is expected to represent Poland at Miss Universe 2024 and/or Miss Supranational 2025. Miss Southern Plains, Diane Westhoven was crowned Miss Alabama USA 2024 during the state final on Saturday, June 1 at Auburn University's Jay and Susie Gogue Performing Arts Center. María Cepero Jiménez of Puerto Rico was crowned Miss Intercontinental 2024 on Friday, December 6 in Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt. The 26-year-old law student beat over 50 other contestants to win her country's 5th Miss Intercontinental title. She succeeds last year's winner Chatnalin Chotjirawarachat from Thailand.
