Miss Universe British Virgin Islands 2023 is Ashellica Fahie


Ashellica Fahie was crowned Miss Universe British Virgin Islands 2023 in a glittering coronation show held on Sunday, August 20 at Eileene L. Parsons Auditorium in Tortola.

The 28-year-old legal manager and business owner will now represent the British Virgin Islands at Miss Universe 2023 in El Salvador this November. She succeeds last year's winner Lia Claxton.

Deyounce Lowenfield, 19, and Liliana Rhymer, 23, were the rest of the three finalists who competed for the coveted national title.

According to her bio for the pageant, the new Miss Universe British Virgin Islands' favorite color is pink and the person she admires most is her father. Her interests include financial literacy and mental health awareness.

The British Virgin Islands, a British overseas territory in the Caribbean, has yet to achieve its first placement at the Miss Universe pageant.

Reina Hispanoamericana 2025 is Dia Maté of the Philippines

Dia Maté of the Philippines was crowned Reina Hispanoamericana 2025 on Sunday, February 9 at the Salón Sirionó, Fexpocruz in Santa Cruz de la Sierra, Bolivia. The 23-year-old singer-songwriter from Cavite became the second Filipina to win the international pageant next to Teresita Ssen Marquez who won in 2017. She also bagged the Best in National Costume award. Her costume "Banaag" by Ehrran Montoya was inspired by her country's baroque churches recognized in the UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Thailand has been officially announced as the host country for the Miss Universe 2025 competition. The Miss Universe Organization unveiled the ultimate destination for the 74th Miss Universe pageant at a press conference in New York City. Melloney Dassanayake was crowned Miss Universe Sri Lanka 2024 during the national competition held on Friday, September 27 at Citrus Waskaduwa. The 25-year-old banker and professional model from Colombo beat 17 other contestants to win the title and will now represent Sri Lanka at Miss Universe 2024 in Mexico this November. Indonesia is set to debut at Reina Hispanoamericana 2023 as Ivan Gunawan, founder of Yayasan Dunia Mega Bintang, has been officially announced as a license holder. The first-ever Reina Hispanoamericana Indonesia will be chosen among the Top 5 finalists of the upcoming Miss Mega Bintang Indonesia 2023 pageant.
