Miss World Australia 2023: Meet the 32 finalists

Miss World Australia 2023 final and coronation ceremony will be held this Friday, August 18 at the Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre in Broadbeach, Queensland.

Sponsored by Mercure Gold Coast Resort, the upcoming competition will feature a total of 32 finalists from across the country competing for the coveted national title.

Last year's winner, Kristen Wright from Melbourne, who will compete at Miss World 2023 in Mumbai, India this December, will crown her successor at the end of the event.

The next Miss World Australia will represent the "Land Down Under" at the 72nd Miss World (Miss World 2024) pageant.

Plus-sized Sara Milliken crowned Miss Alabama for National American Miss 2024

Plus-sized beauty Sara Milliken was crowned the National American Miss Alabama 2024 during the state final held on May 27 at the Renaissance Marriot in Montgomery. The 23-year-old model and mental health advocate from Atmore, Alabama is now expected to represent her home state at the National American Miss 2024 competition later this year. "This is a dream that has been 8 years in the making for me," said the new National American Miss Alabama who first joined the state pageant when she was 15 years old. After enduring bullying upon her return at the age of 16, she decided to take a break from joining for 7 years. However, this year, she mustered up the courage to give the crown another shot. Samuel Nwajagu of Nigeria was proclaimed the grand winner of the Mister International 2024 pageant on Saturday, December 14 in Bangkok, Thailand. Aside from the international title, the 23-year-old model also bagged the Best in Swimsuit award. He succeeds last year's winner from Thailand, Kim Goodburn. Nguyen Man Lan of Vietnam and Glenn Victor Sutanto were announced as the first and second runners-up, respectively. Angélique Angarni-Filopon from Martinique beat 29 other contestants to win Miss France 2025 on Saturday, December 14 at the Futuroscope Arena in Vienne, Nouvelle-Aquitaine. The 34-year-old flight attendant became the oldest winner of the prestigious national pageant. She also made history as the first woman from Martinique to become Miss France.
