Miss Universe Colombia 2023 is Camila Avella of Casanare
The 28-year-old model, content creator, and TV host representing Casanare bested over 20 other contestants to win the national title. She made history by being the first ever mother and married woman to become Miss Universe Colombia.
Adriana Numa Vega of Norte de Santander and Lina María Hurtado Mosquera of Buenaventura were the first and second runners-up, respectively.
The representatives of Atlántico, Sophia Isabel Koepke, Cali, Wendy Michelle Murillo, Risaralda, Valentina Valderrama Patiño, Santander, Nina María Pinzón Zambrano, and Valle, Valentina Cardona Rincón were the rest of the Top 8 finalists.
Completing the Top 15 were Amazonas, María Paula Torres, Boyacá, Laura Valentina Parra Giraldo, Cundinamarca, Sherren Londoño Perea, Nariño, Rouse Valentina Cortés Betancourt, Quindío, Jazmín Eliana Arenas Usma, Soledad, Marleidys Morales Pérez, and Tolima, Dany Sierra Pastrana.
Last year's winner who placed in the Top 16 at Miss Universe 2022 María Fernanda Aristizábal crowned her successor at the end of the star-studded event.
Former Miss Universe and Telemundo host from Mexico, Andrea Meza, has been invited as one of the distinguished panel of judges.
The new Miss Universe Colombia will now prepare to represent her country at Miss Universe 2023 to be held in El Salvador this coming November.
