Miss World South Africa 2023 is Claude Mashego


Dr Claude Mashego was crowned Miss World South Africa 2023 during the inaugural edition of the national pageant held on Saturday, October 28 at The South African State Theatre in Pretoria.

The 24-year-old medical doctor bested 11 other finalists to win the national title. She is now expected to represent South Africa at the 71st Miss World competition.

Alyssa Joan Smith and Zoalize Jansen Van Rensburg were named the first and second runners-up, respectively, while Motheo Mokoto and Asande Mchunu rounded out the Top 5 finalists.

Reigning Miss World Karolina Bielawska from Poland graced the event with the chairman and CEO of the Miss World Organization Julia Morley.

Former South African Miss World Rolene Strauss was also present as one of the distinguished judges.

The new Miss World South Africa hails from Acornhoek, Bushbuckridge in Mpumalanga. She holds a degree in medicine and surgery from the University of Pretoria.

Claude founded her nonprofit Young Leaders Network to advocate for youth development, leadership, and entrepreneurship by bringing together young people from different fields of expertise.

Reina Hispanoamericana 2025 is Dia Maté of the Philippines

Dia Maté of the Philippines was crowned Reina Hispanoamericana 2025 on Sunday, February 9 at the Salón Sirionó, Fexpocruz in Santa Cruz de la Sierra, Bolivia. The 23-year-old singer-songwriter from Cavite became the second Filipina to win the international pageant next to Teresita Ssen Marquez who won in 2017. She also bagged the Best in National Costume award. Her costume "Banaag" by Ehrran Montoya was inspired by her country's baroque churches recognized in the UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Sofia Férnandez of Venezuela was named Virreina while Sharon Gamara of Colombia, Carolina Barroso of Spain, Nikita Palma of Peru, Julia de Castro of Brazil, and Zuzanna Balonek of Poland were the runners-up. Miss Universe 2025: Thailand to host the 74th Miss Universe pageant

Thailand has been officially announced as the host country for the Miss Universe 2025 competition. The Miss Universe Organization unveiled the ultimate destination for the 74th Miss Universe pageant at a press conference in New York City. Before the exciting announcement, several countries were mentioned as possible hosts including Costa Rica, the Dominican Republic, Spain, South Africa, Nigeria, and the Philippines. Miss Universe Brazil 2025 is Maria Gabriela Lacerda

Maria Gabriela Lacerda, representing the state of Piauí, was crowned Miss Universe Brazil 2025 on Thursday, February 13 in Alphaville, São Paulo. The 22-year-old journalist bested 23 other contestants to win the beauty title. She received her crown from Brazil's first Miss Universe winner, Miss Universe 1963 Ieda Maria Vargas. Aline Fritsch of Rio Grande do Sul and Ana Carolina Ceolin Comério of Espírito Santo were the first and second runners-up, respectively. "This crown is ours, my Piauí. Former Reina Hispanoamericana titleholder Teresita Marquez is set to represent the city of Muntinlupa at the Miss Universe Philippines 2025 pageant. Popularly known as Winwyn Marquez, the Filipino actress and mother won her country's first-ever Reina Hispanoamericana winner in 2017 in Bolivia. Former Miss Philippines Earth Yllana Marie Aduana will represent the municipality of Siniloan, Laguna, at the upcoming Miss Universe Philippines 2025 pageant. The 26-year-old medical technology graduate and environmental education advocate was previously crowned Miss Philippines Earth 2023 in Toledo, Cebu. Miss Belgium 2025 is Karen Jansen of Limburg

Karen Jansen, representing the Dutch province of Limburg, was crowned Miss Belgium 2025 on Saturday, February 15 in De Panne. The 23-year-old psychology student and freelance model from Lommel bested more than 30 other contestants to win the national competition. She succeeds last year's winner, Kenza Ameloot. Jane Baesen and Astrid Lafaut were named the first and second runners-up, respectively. Axana Carmoy and Kiana Verstraete were the other runners-up. Valentina Alekseeva was crowned Miss Russia 2024 during the national competition held on Saturday, October 5 in Moscow. The 18-year-old model from Chuvashia will now prepare to represent Russia at the Miss Universe 2024 pageant in Mexico this coming November. Indonesia is set to debut at Reina Hispanoamericana 2023 as Ivan Gunawan, founder of Yayasan Dunia Mega Bintang, has been officially announced as a license holder. The first-ever Reina Hispanoamericana Indonesia will be chosen among the Top 5 finalists of the upcoming Miss Mega Bintang Indonesia 2023 pageant. Originally called Reina Sudamericana until 2007, Reina Hispanoamericana is a Bolivia-based international beauty pageant organized by Promociones Gloria since 1991. It aims to celebrate the Hispanic heritage, language, and culture. The annual competition started welcoming representatives from beyond South America in 2004.
