Miss Earth 2023: Vietnam's Do Thi Lan Anh wins Best in National Costume


Vietnam's Do Thi Lan Anh has been announced the winner of the Best in National Costume during the Miss Earth 2023 finals and coronation on Friday, December 22 at Van Phuc City.

Designed by the talented Vietnamese fashion designer Nguyen Tien Truyen, her "Nu Vuong" costume was showcased during the preliminary competition held on December 16 at the Van Thanh Flower Village in Dalat.

"A deeper love for my Vietnamese heritage that is full of wonder and beauty. It feels surreal that I was given the opportunity to showcase a part of my nation’s history and honor the Vietnamese heroes of the past," she shared online.

Chile's Ximena Huala, Indonesia's Cindy Inanto, Philippines' Yllana Marie Aduana, and Venezuela's Jhosskaren Smiller were the rest of the Top 5 for the award.

The official result was based on social media voting and the judges' scores.

Apart from bagging the award, Miss Earth Vietnam also won Best Appearance and was crowned Miss Earth Water 2023 — her country's highest placement after winning Miss Earth 2018 courtesy of Nguyen Phuong Khanh.

Miss Universe Brazil 2025 is Maria Gabriela Lacerda

Maria Gabriela Lacerda, representing the state of Piauí, was crowned Miss Universe Brazil 2025 on Thursday, February 13 in Alphaville, São Paulo. The 22-year-old journalist bested 23 other contestants to win the beauty title. She received her crown from Brazil's first Miss Universe winner, Miss Universe 1963 Ieda Maria Vargas. Aline Fritsch of Rio Grande do Sul and Ana Carolina Ceolin Comério of Espírito Santo were the first and second runners-up, respectively. "This crown is ours, my Piauí. 72nd Miss World final date and host country announced

The Miss World organization has officially announced the final date and host country of the 72nd Miss World competition. Thailand has been officially announced as the host country for the Miss Universe 2025 competition. The Miss Universe Organization unveiled the ultimate destination for the 74th Miss Universe pageant at a press conference in New York City. Dia Maté of the Philippines was crowned Reina Hispanoamericana 2025 on Sunday, February 9 at the Salón Sirionó, Fexpocruz in Santa Cruz de la Sierra, Bolivia. The 23-year-old singer-songwriter from Cavite became the second Filipina to win the international pageant next to Teresita Ssen Marquez who won in 2017. Jázmin Viktória Elizabeth was crowned Miss Universe Hungary 2021 in a special event held at Gigi's Budapest on Saturday, November 6. The 20-year-old model and student from Budapest bested 13 other beauties to win her national title. She will now prepare to represent Hungary at the 70th Miss Universe pageant in Eilat, Israel this December. Edina Maronka and Nina Tobias were the first and second runners-up, respectively. Former Miss Philippines Earth Yllana Marie Aduana will represent the municipality of Siniloan, Laguna, at the upcoming Miss Universe Philippines 2025 pageant.
