Former Miss Earth Katherine Espin joins Miss Universe Ecuador 2024


Former Miss Earth Katherine Espin has officially auditioned for CNB Ecuador 2024 (Miss Universe Ecuador 2024).

The 31-year-old is a lawyer, mother, and currently the president of the Miss Earth Ecuador organization.

Following Olga Alava who clinched Ecuador's first Miss Earth title in 2011, Katherine won Miss Earth 2016 among 83 contestants at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City, Philippines.

Previously held by Maria del Carmen de Aguayo, this year's Miss Universe Ecuador franchise has been acquired by Tahiz Panus of the Concurso Nacional de Belleza (CNB Ecuador) organization.

Several other top-caliber beauties are also aiming for the opportunity to represent the "country of four worlds" at Miss Universe 2024 to be held in Mexico later this year.

They are Nadia Mejia-Webb (Miss California USA 2016 and Miss USA 2016 Top 5 finalist), Mara Topic (Miss Grand Ecuador 2019 and Miss Grand International 2019 Top 10 ), and Amar Pacheco Ibarra (Miss World Ecuador 2020 and 70th Miss World Top 40 semifinalist).

Plus-sized beauty Sara Milliken was crowned the National American Miss Alabama 2024 during the state final held on May 27 at the Renaissance Marriot in Montgomery. The 23-year-old model and mental health advocate from Atmore, Alabama is now expected to represent her home state at the National American Miss 2024 competition later this year. Miss Slovenia 2024 is Amadea Zupan from Sežana

Amadea Zupan was crowned Miss Slovenia 2024 (Miss World Slovenia) in a national competition held on Friday, January 10 in Lendava. The 26-year-old medical student at the University of Ljubljana beat 12 other contestants to win the title. She received the crown from her predecessor Alida Tomanič. Angélique Angarni-Filopon from Martinique beat 29 other contestants to win Miss France 2025 on Saturday, December 14 at the Futuroscope Arena in Vienne, Nouvelle-Aquitaine. Samuel Nwajagu of Nigeria was proclaimed the grand winner of the Mister International 2024 pageant on Saturday, December 14 in Bangkok, Thailand. Aside from the international title, the 23-year-old model also bagged the Best in Swimsuit award. He succeeds last year's winner from Thailand, Kim Goodburn.
