Itapuã Colony declared a historical site following petition by Miss Supranational


Within just a few days after a petition was handed over by Miss Supranational, Andrea Aguilera, and the CNB Brazil, the Governor of Rio Grande do Sul, The Honorable Eduardo Leite, declared the Itapuã Colony as a historical site.

This important declaration means that the former Leprosy (Hansen's Disease) colony will be preserved as a site of historical value.

The Governor signed a formal declaration to ensure that this colony would not be broken down to the delight of Miss Supranational 2023 Andrea Aguilera and the CNB Organization.

"I am so happy that the Governor was kind enough to help us in our mission to preserve the Itapuã Colony and that we could play a small role in this," Andrea commented.

With this feat, Andrea has cemented herself as a worthy ambassador for the Sasakawa Health Foundation and the Sasakawa Leprosy (Hansen's Disease) Initiative and she will continue to work on the cause throughout her year of reign and possibly after.

A local organization for Hansen's Disease support, Morhan, started speaking to the government months ago about preserving this piece of Brazilian history. They expressed their gratitude to Andrea, the Miss Supranational Organization, and CNB Brazil for their important contribution to the process.

Nigeria's Samuel Nwajagu wins Mister International 2024

Samuel Nwajagu of Nigeria was proclaimed the grand winner of the Mister International 2024 pageant on Saturday, December 14 in Bangkok, Thailand. Aside from the international title, the 23-year-old model also bagged the Best in Swimsuit award. He succeeds last year's winner from Thailand, Kim Goodburn. The semifinal round of Miss Polski 2024 (Miss Poland 2024) took place on Friday, April 26 at Hotel Kolumna Park in Przygoń.
