71st Miss World is Krystyna Pyszková from Czech Republic
Czech Republic's Krystyna Pyszková was crowned the 71st Miss World in a glittering festival held on Saturday, March 9 at the Jio World Convention Centre in Mumbai, India.
The 24-year-old model and student from Třince bested more than 100 other beauties to win the coveted title. She became the second Czech woman to become Miss World next to Taťána Kuchařová who won in 2006.
Aside from modeling, Krystyna is currently pursuing her degrees in law and business administration. She is an advocate for education and is passionate about arts and music.
The 71st Miss World was hosted by former Miss World from the Philippines, Megan Young, and Indian filmmaker Karan Johar. This year's spectacular event marked the return of the festival in India after 28 years.
Yasmina Zaytoun of Lebanon was named first runner-up while the representatives from Botswana, Lesego Chombo, and Trinidad and Tobago, Aché Abrahams, rounded out the Top 4 finalists.
The Top 8 were from Brazil, Leticía Frota, England, Jessica Gagen, India, Sini Shetty, and Uganda, Hannah Tumukunde while the rest of the Top 12 were from Australia, Kristen Wright, the Dominican Republic, María Victoria Bayo, Mauritius, Liza Gundowry, and Spain, Paula Pérez.
