Sakhile Dube joins Miss Universe Zimbabwe 2024


Fashion model Sakhile Dube has been officially revealed as one of the contestants vying for Miss Universe Zimbabwe 2024.

The 27-year-old fashionista, representing Bulawayo, is currently pursuing fashion design and styling studies at the Milan School of Fashion in Italy.

No stranger to pageantry, Sakhile previously held the title of Miss Earth Zimbabwe and represented her country at Miss Earth 2022 in the Philippines. She finished in the Top 8 among 85 contestants.

Last year, she was named Miss Supranational Zimbabwe and went on to participate in Miss Supranational 2023 in Poland where she not only placed in the Top 24 but also bagged the continental title of Miss Supranational Africa 2023.

The Miss Universe Zimbabwe 2024 final competition will be held on May 18 in Harare. Brooke Bruk-Jackson's successor will go to Miss Universe 2024 in Mexico later this year.

Miss Universe 2024 standouts in the preliminary competition

The spectacular Miss Universe 2024 preliminary competition and national costume show was held last night at the Arena CDMX in Mexico City. Hosted by reigning Miss Universe Sheynnis Palacios and Miss Universe 2022 R'Bonney Gabriel, the important event kicked off with the contestants parading in their colorful and stunning national costumes. After the national costume segment, each contestant walked on stage in their swimsuits and capes, and then by group during the evening gown. South Africa's Mia le Roux withdraws from Miss Universe 2024

The Miss South Africa Organization has just announced that the reigning Miss South Africa Mia le Roux has withdrawn from Miss Universe 2024. In an official statement, the organization wrote, "It is with deep regret that we share the news that Mia le Roux, Miss South Africa 2024, has had to withdraw from the Miss Universe competition due to health concerns." According to Mia, "Making this decision has been incredibly challenging, knowing the dreams and hopes that have been placed upon me." "I am deeply grateful to have the opportunity to focus on my health and recovery so that I may continue to serve my country with full strength," she added. Here's where to watch Miss Earth 2024 final show livestream

After weeks of pre-pageant activities and events, the 24th edition of the annual Miss Earth pageant will culminate tonight at Okada Manila in the Philippines. Drita Ziri from Albania and her elemental court are set to crown their successors among 76 contestants from around the planet at tonight's final competition.
