Miss Universe Paraguay 2024 is Naomi Mendez


Naomi Mendez was crowned Miss Universe Paraguay 2024 in a coronation gala event held on Wednesday, May 29 at the Sheraton Hotel in Asunción.

The 32-year-old entrepreneur, originally from Argentina and currently living in Dubai, will represent Paraguay at Miss Universe 2024 in Mexico later this year.

She succeeds Elicena Andrada, last year's winner who participated in Miss Universe 2023 last November in San Salvador, El Salvador.

At 32, the new Miss Universe Paraguay became the oldest woman to hold the national title following the Miss Universe Organization's decision to remove age limits. All women from age 18 are now allowed to compete.

Paraguay has yet to win the Miss Universe pageant. The country's highest placement was first runner-up during Miss Universe 2021 with Marc Anthony's wife Nadia Ferrera.

Angélique Angarni-Filopon from Martinique beat 29 other contestants to win Miss France 2025 on Saturday, December 14 at the Futuroscope Arena in Vienne, Nouvelle-Aquitaine. The 34-year-old flight attendant became the oldest winner of the prestigious national pageant. She also made history as the first woman from Martinique to become Miss France. Plus-sized beauty Sara Milliken was crowned the National American Miss Alabama 2024 during the state final held on May 27 at the Renaissance Marriot in Montgomery. The semifinal round of Miss Polski 2024 (Miss Poland 2024) took place on Friday, April 26 at Hotel Kolumna Park in Przygoń. From 59 semifinalists, only 32 beauties (two from each region) have been selected to move on to the final competition to be held this July. The 23-year-old entrepreneur from Amsterdam edged out nine other finalists to win the national title.
