Miss Grand South Africa 2024 is Sharne Dheochand
Sharne Dheochand was crowned Miss Grand South Africa 2024 in a national competition held on Saturday, June 1 at the Theatre of Marcellus, Emperors Palace in Kempton Park.
The 21-year-old from Newcastle, KwaZulu-Natal, bested 27 other contestants to win the national title. She succeeds last year's winner Gugulethu Mayisela.

The new Miss Grand South Africa will now prepare to represent the "Rainbow Nation" at Miss Grand International 2024 this October.
"This is surreal, a true dream come true—to be crowned Miss Grand South Africa! Two years of relentless hard work, dedication, and preparation have finally paid off," she wrote online.
"To my fellow community and South African family, thank you for all the love and support you have shown me throughout this journey. I am honored to represent our country at the internationals and couldn't have done it without you."
